With our dollar going through the floor, I am not going to spend $1.30 for one dollar American.

On top of that I think I should just start staying closer to home.

If we want something bad enough we can usually find a way to do it. Can we pick up and go today, NO. Tomorrow? NO. Can we go twice a year? NO. Can we go once a year, maybe. Can we go every other year? More likely. If I can "trick" myself into believing I can go than I feel better. So, I just hold onto the hope that things are going to get better and that I am still able get all the OT I want at work to save money to go!

Cheer up! Just a few months ago everyone thought the sky was falling because gas prices were above $4.50 a gallon (S.Florida prices). Today gasoline is selling at almost $2.00 per gallon. The biggest difference? Nobody is rejoicing now as often or loudly as they were complaining then. The quality of life that we are able to experience in this world is often determined by our own perspective. Be frugal in your spending, save wisely, and wait. My guess is that you will make it back to WDW sooner than you think. :)

When I grew up really poor, I mean really poor, we skipped a year of giving any gifts and worked a lot of extra jobs and we all as a family saved all the extra money we could to go to Disney. As a 10 year old I did not miss the Christmas or B-Day gifts knowing we would go to Disney. I was big for my age and I cut the neighbors grass, shoveled and delivered news papers to try to help as much as I could.
As much as we think we can not do the same things we did a year ago we can we as Americans need to stiffen up on our extra spending. I find it funny that all my friends think we are loaded because we go to Disney once to twice a year. We skip lots of extras, moivies, expensive dinners, high speed internet, etc etc. If you really want to do something skip having cable, cell phone, and some extras that way. We all can cut out extras if you like to go to Disney!:sohappy::sohappy:
I feel that we all can do this and the ecconmy will be better for all we all don't need the best of everything.

I agree:) Is the glass(tank) half empty or half full?
Gas prices are GREAT($1.86/gal)...enjoy it and fill up your tank now and put away what you would have spent for next years vacation:wave:
