I should be working/studying/cleaning, but instead I'm on WDWmagic.

I will take the snow and cold ANY DAY over hearing my roof and house creak, trees blow over, and no power.

VERY different strokes....

We were stuck without power the whole week of Christmas here in West Virginia... in the snow... also without water...

However, it was still wonderful.

I have some good memories associated with hurricanes.

OK, that does not sound good...but way better than fearing four your home and all of your earthly possessions!

Good memories? Do tell...:lookaroun

Whoop! Can we play some Miley? I know your brother wants to.
Of course! He will love it...maybe a little too much.

. Why are you always making delicious goodies and why am I never there to experience it? One day...
Next time we are together, we will bake. And bake. And bake. We will be fat and happy.

Just... being out of school for a week, riding my bike in the midst of the hurricane, sleeping on the floor. I mean, they're not great memories, but just nostalgic ones, I guess.

REALLY?! I did not know this. That is intense, dude.

I... didn't tell you? Oh

Yeah. The entire time I was on the farm before going to Florida I was without power and hot water. It was a weekish. We had a generator that could make the fridge and a couple lamps run, but otherwise, nothing else. Fortunately the heat in the house is controlled by a wood-burning stove thing in the fire place. So we were warm.

And I was just about to ask how y'all kept warm. Thank goodness for that stove!

Wow, that would be amazing. :o

If I am also invited on this Cali trip, can I come? :)

Of course. You'll all have the pleasure of seeing me geek out when I step onto the FIRST Main Street USA for the first time. :lookaroun

Oops. My bad :lookaroun

Moral of the story: when you come to the farm, you probably shouldn't come in the winter when freak snow storms are happening, unless you don't mind not showering for a week and seeing everything by flashlight.
