I really wish I hadn't done that?

That tent is awesome!

FL weather is the only reason I won't consider a tent! Haha! I don't want to get rained on and I have a hard time sleeping through outdoor sounds!

It was already waterproof but we sprayed some waterproof stuff on it just in case. It rained nearly every night and we stayed dry the whole time. It was peaceful for me to hear the rain hit the roof but my wife has to wear earplugs for the same reason you talked about. We also considered bringing our TV to watch at night but settled on watching disney DVDs on her laptop. It was a great trip until the whole tornado situation haha. I'll figure something out for that before our next trip.

Booked at the Caribbean Beach Resort.

The place is not on par with other moderate resorts and just laid out very poorly.
Not a fan.

was this the shuttle that was scrubbed with 30 seconds to go? ..
Rings a bell.... Would've been end of June - beginning of July 1993 within a three week trip.

Edit- Possibly STS-51. If my scrambled memory recalls correctly, Google points to that. July 17th.

Ours was definitly 1993. That bit I do know! A car accident meant the 1992 trip was postponed for a year. My first trip as a grown up without parents. Stayed at the CBR for two weeks. We arrived end of June, spent an hour of July 4th at the MK before bailing for EPCOT Center. Week three was St Petes Beach when we came back a few days early for the shuttle. Spent a few nights at the Golden Links motel on 192 before flying home.

Look closely at Coronado Springs as well. The property itself is beautiful, but I found the rooms, bedding, and "beat down" overall feel to be quite disappointing. The property needs a total renovation.

Honestly, I was happier at Sports/Movies/Music/Pop than Coronado Springs.

I've been going back and forth about it since we booked.

A big part of me wants to do our old stand-by (one of the PO resorts), but we also have this loose goal of visiting all the resorts at some point or another...so needless to say I'm torn.

Deluxe dining plan.

It is just way too much food. We spent hours each day eating or getting to restaurants and would've saved a bundle if we had just paid OOP and picked the few sit-downs that we really wanted to try as opposed to trying to squeeze the value from the plan.

Lesson learned. Next time we'll have one table service meal per day and wing the rest.

We have done DDDP several times now, and yes way to much food! We where having 3 courses even if we didn't fancy them. We go for at least 14 night so a lot of signatures, When you take in to account the time to leave a park go back to resort get changed and then back to the restaurant! Where as it worked before it didn't work Oct 14 with FP+. So Oct 15 no Dining plan just our fav sigs and a few table service ones and the rest as and when. FP+ is the final nail in the coffin for us and something had to give so good bye to dining plan and $5257.44 back in our pocket.

Taking our teenage daughter who had a new boyfriend with us. We thought it would be a great family bonding experiance, but all she did all week was text him, call him, E-mail him, and whine about how much she missed him. It's ironic too, that she broke up with him 2 days after we got back.:banghead:

What's your worst planning mistakes?

Having just returned:
-Too many planned meals (we had five days, five sit down meals and ended up canceling one)
-Not checking which park was supposed to be packed, We knew it was the slower season but I still think we could have checked

Mine is drinking alcohol when it is hot, or early in the day. I don't drink much, and drinking when it is hot is not a great idea for me. I end up sick.:hungover: And if I drink too early, or too much, I just want to sleep. So I might have a small sample, like during the food and wine fest, but otherwise alcohol is for at night.

First time going to WDW as an adult. Me, my then wife, and at the time one kid.

Somehow I went to WDW for a week with about $200 cash, and not a single credit card or ATM card on me.

I was able to call home, have a family member go to my house, get one of my cards, and fax the front and back of it to the front desk, who was then able to load it onto my my KTTK card so I had charging privileges.

Going with someone who was determined to see EVERY show, ride, store, parade and character meet and greet between Magic Kingdom, Epcot and DHS... and we only had 3 days.

I tried to explain it's like the Smithsonian - you could be there everyday for a year and not see everything. We would get off a ride and they'd want to sprint to the next one. The horror.

I planned it out so we saw major rides, the main characters, Wishes and 2 big parades.

To this day they said it was a blur.

Gee, really!?
