So my sister got into my car yesterday, and as soon as I switched on the ignition my Disney cd that me and my son listen to on the way to school started playing. The Tikki Room song was on. My sister looked truly confused (she is NO Disney fan) and asked me what the hell I was listening to. I dreaded her response when I said it was a cd with music from the rides at Disney! She was not a bit amused, fully annoyed, and convinced I had lost my mind. I had to wonder if I had crossed over from a Disney fan to a Disney fanatic who may be overly obsessed. Anyone else ever have a moment where they feel they have to question their sanity over their love for Disney? :p
ALL the time!!!! I have relatives who are world travelers, yet I go to the same place every year .... Disney. I get the *you can go anywhere in the world yet you keep going back to Disney* well, I DO go all over the world... in Epcot!!! LOL And I wouldnt have it any other way. 3D in my household stands for Disney Dork Deb LOL

I don't even think this is a Disney issue. I don't grasp why anyone would be so bothered over someone else's music choices. I mean really, if you want to rock out to Barney's greatest hits or Sesame street even when your kids aren't in the car- who the heck cares as long as you enjoy it. Listening to Disney park music really is no different. i.e. not everyone may share the love of the music, but it's an entirely harmless thing that is all built on personal preferences. Sorry, I know this is your sister, but the fully annoyed reaction she dished out seems excessive, unwarranted, shallow and melodramatic IMO. Ultimatley, I'd ignore it and if pushed - I'd probably be like "sorry you can't be accepting of other people's likes and preferences." Yeah- I get a bit confrontational in things like this. ;)
She went to the Justin Bieber concert a few weeks ago...I judged her a little.:p Haha! She just doesn't get why I keep going to Disney, it seems dull to her. Her and her husband are Vegas fanatics. That is their favorite vacation spot which is very different from mine. Oh well, everybody has a laughing place...to each his own!

You didn't cross any line. You're one of us. We get you. Your sister, however- well we don't really get her.

Nope. I have never once questioned my own sanity over my love for Disney.
No more than I would question another persons love for, say, NASCAR, snow skiing, chess, comic books, toy collecting, rock climbing, basket weaving, or whatever. Disney is my "thing" and everyone that knows me knows that. :)
NASCAR and Disney (cue homer simpson style drool )

Yeah, I randomly start quoting stuff from Disney movies (specifically Alice in Wonderland) and sometimes sing Disney songs. After I tell people that I've been to WDW almost my whole life, they ask me if I ever get tired of it and I say never. Yeah, but sometimes during snack time at school, I will start listening to Tapestry of Nations on my phone and just dance to it in my seat.

I called about the dessert party today and while I was on hold I got a bit choked up while I was on hold from listening to the parade music. Maybe there is a Disneyholics group. It would be the most Magical group ever!

NEVER.....EVER...feel that you have crossed the line or that you have lost your mind.......with anyone, including your sister. My wife and I have a bunch of Disney cds with everything from the HM story and song to the history of songs from Disney films and my reaction would be, if someone were to look at me funny or make a nasty comment is......STFU. :D
If people cant understand that those things put a smile on your face and make you happy, then that is their problem.
