Actually aside form its corrosive qualities 100% pure water is not conductive and is fairly benign when it comes to electronics. It is the minerals found in nearly every drop of water on the planet that fry electronics.
One of the best cures for pretty much any electronic device that has been submerged in water is to take it apart as much as possible (ie remove battery, sim card, memory card, etc) and cover it in uncooked rice for a day or two. The rice will act like a sponge to the water. Providing nothing shorted out it should work.
MMMMMMMM....Motorola stir fired rice with shrimp sauce.:slurp:and if it doesnt it can make a tasty stir fry
I just washed my cell phone...with it on!
Needlessly to say ...it's quite dead now.
I once got in my car when it was snowing one night, only to find about 3 inches of snow on my drivers side window. Knowing I had to clean it off to see, I rolled my window down..... A few seconds later, I was cleaning 3 inches of snow out of my lap. :brick:

My hubby and son went fishing on Lake Ontario about 20 years ago in our little dinghy and hubby said to our son (age 11 at the time) "throw out the anchor so we can fish." Our son did as his Dad asked and threw out the anchor. Too bad this was one of the few times he decided to listen to his Dad without a fuss, because the rope was not tied on the anchor so it just sank like a rock to the bottom of the lake. The boat started to drift so hubby said "I thought I told you to throw out the anchor - oh no, where is the anchor! $20 anchor lost, but they still did some fishing anyway.![]()
