Heading for the great escape.
Actually aside form its corrosive qualities 100% pure water is not conductive and is fairly benign when it comes to electronics. It is the minerals found in nearly every drop of water on the planet that fry electronics.

One of the best cures for pretty much any electronic device that has been submerged in water is to take it apart as much as possible (ie remove battery, sim card, memory card, etc) and cover it in uncooked rice for a day or two. The rice will act like a sponge to the water. Providing nothing shorted out it should work.

and if it doesnt it can make a tasty stir fry

Resurrecting because of some serious stupidity, now after this holiday season...

Friday afternoon, I spent my time in my office completing an essay due Monday. My aunt, ever the one to jump to conclusions, came in and push, no, jammed her finger into the computer tower's start button, and held it for 15 seconds there. All my unsaved work was deleted before my eyes. When I asked why, she said I was goofing off and that I can't be trusted. :veryconfu

An half hour later, after she left for NY, I went back to retype the missing essay, only to discover that the Blue Screen of Death was the one greeting me. No matter what I tried, it would not restart at all. Having to tell my parents about it, their respone was, and in verbatim: "Well, it's your fault. You were goofing around". Wat. Apparently, my aunt told them about my being in the computer before, and believed I was elsewhere, when clearly I was not. Not to mention they refuse to believe me now, and that I am banned from the home computer until spring break. :brick:

You ever wonder if a store made a mistake when they printed a price tag?

I got a pair of jeans tonight which were originally $159.00 for $9.00 :D And after a gift card I only had to pay $2.00 cash!

But I did do something stupid last night when I was downloading a codec pack that I thought would only take maybe 15 minutes tops, in actuality it took almost two hours. My husband couldn't use the laptop until it was done. Oops.

I just washed my cell phone...with it on!

Needlessly to say ...it's quite dead now.

I have done this three times and counting. This is why my DH does most of the laundry, I always forget to check pockets! :ROFLOL: Only one of the three came back to life, even after sitting them in rice for days.

I once got in my car when it was snowing one night, only to find about 3 inches of snow on my drivers side window. Knowing I had to clean it off to see, I rolled my window down..... A few seconds later, I was cleaning 3 inches of snow out of my lap. :brick:

Now that's funny!:ROFLOL:

My hubby and son went fishing on Lake Ontario about 20 years ago in our little dinghy and hubby said to our son (age 11 at the time) "throw out the anchor so we can fish." Our son did as his Dad asked and threw out the anchor. Too bad this was one of the few times he decided to listen to his Dad without a fuss, because the rope was not tied on the anchor so it just sank like a rock to the bottom of the lake. The boat started to drift so hubby said "I thought I told you to throw out the anchor - oh no, where is the anchor! $20 anchor lost, but they still did some fishing anyway.:D
