Hey there Buford and Legacy

So, will the Revolution also have the touch technology that the DS has? It's such a neat little handheld. (Although, I sometimes get lightheaded trying to blow up my balloons in BattleMode of MarioKart)

The Revolution is a television console...so no dual screens. It will however have a new sort of controller. The controller looks more like a television remote and will actually sense movement so that actions on screen will not only be triggered by buttons but also by what direction you move the controller in. It also has a joystick attatchment. The whole set up is wireless.
The system will also make use of the WiFi system, have backwards compatability with Game Cube and you'll be able to download ANY Nintendo game title ever released from NES to N64...that even includes Gameboy games! :D

DS=Awesomeness. It far outshines the PSP in the pure gaming experience. Mario Kart is the most addicting thing I have ever picked up. Animal Crossing is also a very fun game. If I can give a suggestion, pick up Mario and Luigi:Partners in Time. It's an awesome RPG.

Unfortunately, Nintendo is a wounded dog in the console department. Revolution looks aweful. Sure, being able to buy every Nintendo game is cool, but I think they tried to hard for innovation with the contoler. It just doesn't have the appeal that XBOX and PS3 do. I'm hoping that the big N realizes this, gives up on the non-portable consoles, and just makes games for XBOX and PS3.

I wouldn't count on it...soon. DS sales are soaring and don't forget it's only been out for just over a year. Not to mention the "Revolution" is due out this spring/summer. I don' think we'll see a new DS for a good 3 to 4 more years. The game library for the DS is still relatively skimpy as well. Game developers have lots of ideas on the table for the dual screen technology...so there is still ALOT to come for this handheld!!! :D

Pinkrose, it's good to hear you check their PS2 periodically to make sure it's in working order. ;)

I'll wait for a Revolution then

Where would the hardware innovation be then? It won't be coming from the other two...

*puts on geek voices*
"My console can push 2 million more pixels per second than your console"
"Well my console has triscopic bicubic anti-alised filtering"
"Well, my console can render the ripples in Solid Snake's trousers when he farts"

Bleh! The most fun I've had in the past 5 years on any console is with Wario Ware and Donkey Konga.

The most fun I've had on any console has been Burnout 3.

I don't know where people get the idea Nintendo is doing so poorly. As far as I'm concerned Nintendo consoles and XBOX/Playstation shouldn't even be in the same category. Nintendo has and continues to offer innovations in types of games and the way they are played.

PS and XBOX continue to pump out the same types of games over and over. Namely first person shooters and sports games that change little from year to year. All those consoles can brag about is increased graphics capability and media capabilities such as playing DVD's and internet access. They're no longer in the gaming category IMO. They're low priced PC's that overheat easily and require expensive upgrades to their memories to play most games.

Nintendo is in the business of creating new ways to experience gaming. From the first RPG's to games like Elektroplankton...Nintendo always brings new experiences to the table. The American mainstream may not eat it all up but that certainly does not make them a wounded dog. Hell the DS is single handedly responsible for masking the HUGE decline in sales of all other consoles in 2005 alone!!

*End rant from DisJosh the Nintendo geek* lol :D

 That's one title I wish Nintendo had. I wish Square Enix would work more with Nintendo. Don't get me wrong, I love all the old Final Fantasy games but I'd like to see the new versions on Nintendo consoles as well. They need to lose all the theatrics in their RPGs though. I want to play not watch beautifully rendered movies! lol

Well, Kingdom Hearts was WHY I bought a PS2 in the first place. And nothing has caused me to be upset with that decision.

*Patiently waits for American release of KH2...*

I'm looking forward to the PS3. I haven't looked into them, but the PSP's....what are they like? I noticed that they sell movies for the as well as games. Is that just a portable system like the GBA and DS?

My PC ( after I get done upgrading it ) can blow any system out of the water. ( 2-3 gigs RAM, Dual ATI graphics cards 256 and maybe 512 megs. When they come out, dual AMD Athlon processors.) Beat that microsoft, sony, or nintendo! Now, I must admit I will buy consoles for the console games. I will buy the nintendo revo because NONE of nintendo's games go to PC. Microsoft however, does. ( here's hoping for HALO 3 on PC )

PSP is like a portable PS2 with a very nice screen. It plays UMD movies, which in my opinion are just a way for the movie studios to get you to buy all your favourite films AGAIN!
