I hear the Rise of the Resistance opening ceremony is going to be pretty interesting.

They own ABC they have a streaming service. What happened to the specials they used to do when they opened a new ride (living seas for example) this should have been an hour special and they should have went all out, maybe even have the real cast there doing skits around disney world. You build interest in the ride, the land and the movie which is about to open.
Oh, Please...They don't make honest to good t.v. specials anymore..Look how horrid the DL's 60th special was like a friggin award show with more singing and not hardly talking about the park itself..This also goes when the do the Christmas day specials now..They are terrible!

Take me back to the days when Theme park Specials where as great as this...

Shouldn't we be seeing the onslaught of guests who rebooked because of Dorian and/or pushed their vacations back for the opening of RoTR?

Please note that I am in no way criticizing RoTR itself. The attraction sounds amazing and I cant wait to experience it next week when we visit. I am just referring to the fanbois who shifted their predictions of "wdw will be insane when SWGE opens", to , "everybody rescheduled their trips because of Dorian and would rather wait for the whole land to be open".

Judging by wait times, the parks dont seem anymore crowded than normal. And there seem to be plenty of rooms available ranging from Value to Deluxe over there next week.

Tonight, they flew again for anyone keeping score.
I saw them from Dalia Lounge at Coronado Springs. For anyone who hasn’t visited new tower...it’s pretty amazing there

anyway...seeing drones two nights in a row was pretty cool. They actually went pretty high tonight.

IMHO the drones were not impressive, you could have performed the same movements with a crane.

Or cable blimps, been done for movie red carpet events. It's meh, but at least they're getting their money's worth (3-4 days) for the contractor's primo rates:

yes the Christmas specials are a train wreck. Either show me the parks and walk around let me experience the decorations and atmosphere, or show me a high quality representation of the parade. People I don't know singing in front of the castle doesn't do it for me.

Hey, @realBobChapek, looks like you've been working on your tan down in the swamps, you don't look quite so pasty anymore. ;)

So... this event was pretty much a big dud? Not surprised. They blew the celebrity budget on the land opening with one weak ride and didn't save anything for the big ticket ride.

I don't think that would happen so soon would it? Most people "waiting for the whole land to be open" aern't going to book their trip the day or week afterwards, what if the opening had been delayed? I've been waiting the whole land to be open and I booked my trip for May 2020.
