I spent the July 4th weekend over at the world andthe 2nd day I met up wiith some out of town friends and their 6yo granddaughter over at MK. About 7PM we decided to ride BTMR. While in line we noticed some ominous clouds moving in which then called for an "inclimate weather" announcement by a CM. We were bummed as we started to see a light drizzle coming down. So we finally get down to our rows thrilled we were getting on only to turn towards the entrance to the unloading area and see that it was POURING!!!! And to our surprise the CM said they weren't shutting down since it was only rain. Riding BTMR in a downpour is a MUST! The rain adds a whole new dimension to the ride that makes it so much more fun. The granddaughter was frightened at first but when it was over she was ready to go again lol. So next time you're out at MK and see rain coming in make a mad dash for BTMR

At Myrtle Beach one year we got on the Enterprise (the ride that is a giant wheel where you sit and then it goes around and then upside down). and after we got locked in it began POURING. That was the most memorable ride ever.

I've had some of my most magical/memorable moments during the pouring rain in MK as well. Though mine involved wearing ponchos and Waltzing with my GF around the the open area between SM and Rocketship Plaza with Randy Newman's "Stange Things" blaring over the Tomorrowland speakers. We were laughing pretty hard that night.

Rain + Magic Kingdom = wonderful memories :king:

Couldn't agree more. My daughter and I got on when it was perfectly dry once. By the time we got out of the first tunnel, it was pouring. We couldn't stop laughing the whole time.

I once rode EE in an intense downpour. When the ride started it was just a drizzle, but by the time we were going up the mountain it started ro rain like crazy.

It was extremely cold, and the combination of speed and big drops of water caused them to feel like tiny stones when hitting my face. I left the coaster completely drenched, but it was the best EE ride I have ever had.

My throat didn't enjoy that ride a lot, though, as I was coughing through the next week.

That's so awesome! I rode Tower of Terror during thunder and lightning before, which made it THAT much more awesome during the drop, but I've never done BTMRR in the rain. I'll put it on my must do list! :) Also, I agree with whomever said riding it during the fireworks; I rode it during "Wishes" a few years in a row; totally awesome.

Another vote for riding BTMR during Wishes...

That was pretty surreal to have the fireworks going off overhead while riding. One of my better experiences. I think I'd like to also like to ride Splash Mountain w/ the fireworks out in front while going down the last drop.

Roller Coaster + Rain = :(

We once were on Gwazi @ Busch Gardens Tampa and just as we left the station it started down poring, it was the worst ride ever! As a poster above said about EE the rain drops felt like little stone hitting your face and the rain seemed to coat the track making the cars run faster and every curve it felt like the thing was going to come off the track. Never again in the rain!

I've been on Test Track in the pouring rain just before they closed it because of the rain, a little painful but still I loved it. I'll have to try other rides in the rain next time.:)
