So?? *Is* the happy couple there??
I too read all 20-some pages of this thread - definitely hysterical!
So are our friends indeed there? The Mr. and Mrs.? No one really said if during F&W last year they were their same grouchy selves or if Disney had "encouraged" them to reflect a more Disney attitude. How are they this year?
I will be there 5/28-6/5 and am bringing my big 'ole Sony VX2100 with me, complete with tripod. I will definitely plan to set up shop and get plenty of video of their amazing product to show my loved ones back home. Maybe I'll couch it with how into gardening my family is and how much they'd love to see their "art" and do they have a website they can buy it from... Wonder if she'd mind the videography then??
I am just shocked that someone would actually react this way to taking pictures. I read the copyright posts, but one thing that hasn't been mentioned that I'm curious... Epcot is on Disney property!! Doesn't Disney get to decide who can do what? I mean, Disney has invited them onto their property and while it's not technically public property, doesn't copyright law or intellectual property law have something (maybe this "fair use") about by bringing your products into Epcot for common display and outdoor walkways in large public areas you sort of inherently have an expectation that your product may be photographed/videotaped given that the rest of the park allows it? I mean, what if I'm standing in a position in which their product is in my line of shot but what I really want to tape is the Rose&Crown over in UK, but since I have to zoom in their product naturally is in my shot??. Can they honestly forbid me to tape?? So utterly ridiculous!
