I found out where Disney hid the new camera in Spaceship Earth

As most people know, Disney recently installed a camera on SE in an attempt to thwart people who cause "mischief" on the ride. Right before the first lift, you can see a little monitor with various people on it. Well, the camera is hidden in the Egyptian area of the ride. I found this out because when I was at work today, I was reading some of the attraction notices for Mission: SPACE and they mentioned the location of the camera on the board. So next time you go on the ride, try to find the camera in this section.

I caught the screen on camera today. Just in case anyone wants to see this wonderful modern marvel....

I don't know... this may just be me. But this just seems to be bad show. I realize people misbehave on the ride, but I don't need to be scolded. I go to Disney to enter a world where bad things seem not to happen. Leave the screens for the security area... not on stage. Just my opinion.

It may be a bit disturbing at first, but I think it is necessary. At least you clearly see that you are monitored and what you risk if you don't follow the rules. Especially and unfortunately, teens or some adults seem to always try stupid things on slow dark rides like SSE. It think it will make in the long terme the ride more enjoyable for the others.

Safety before show. *shrug* If they had to resort to it, it's not a knee-jerk reaction.

I saw this right away when we rode SE last weekend. I think it's a great idea! Kudos to you for getting a super-sized pic of it! :)

I think it may do some good, though it may be unsightly.

When i was on my last trip my family and i where riding SE and all of a sudden in the phonecian boat traders room we got stuck. CM's came in with flashlights and made sure everyone was in the time machines. Apparently someone must have jumped out, and the walkie talkies where saying possible injury. But nothing was found, and in 15 mins the ride resumed. I don't know what happened. But maybe this kind of possibly dangerous situations could be avoided if people knew how to act on rides. I wonder what happened if someone really did get out. I doubt it though.

I vote for SGE shoulder restraints on all rides

The ride was around over 20 years without the Plasmas or the new night vision camera. I think its bad show and draws attention to the kind of thing we are supposed to be forgetting. Disney is supposed to be suspended belief and better than the real world. That camera isn't stopping anyone its just daring them.
