HWS getting rid of ALL the shows?

I agree about American Idol leaving... I would be glad to see something in its place. Without someone sponsoring it, it wont happen... Same with Indiana Jones, It takes a pretty big area to house. Make us an Indy ride like other parks, but new and fresh.

I would honestly say that if HS would get a few new rides, without expansion, they would bring in even better crowds. They need a water type rollercoaster at HS...
I heard The American Idol Experience is being replaced with a new FAMILY FEUD show! Someone on another thread provided me with a clue for that and I nailed it!

They're making room for more RESTROOMS!;)
Seriously though, I'd imagine they're making preparations for Carsland and something Star Wars. I'd imagine Indy would stay, since the new Lucas deal...maybe an additional Indy attraction as well?

I don't see Indiana Jones being replaced for a Star Wars themed attraction when Star Tours is already there. Disney now owns the Indiana Jones franchise too and the IJ attraction is still pretty popular. From a cost perspective, I don't see what the point would be.
There is a problem with Indiana Jones in terms of claiming Disney owns it. Paramount Pictures continues to retain certain rights to future film installments of Indiana Jones. There also is the issue of Disney actually release certain Indiana Jones movies.

The other thing is when I mentioned about a Rumor about Star Wars replacing Indiana Jones, I also "Star Wars Land". While there is Star Tours, It is not a true Star Wars Land and Disney themselves has recognized that and even mentioned in public at looking at stuff in terms of Star Wars for there theme parks outside of Star Tours. DHS matter of fact Doesn't have a building for the Jedi Academy yet.

The fact is Disney been looking at doing a Star Wars Expansion at Disney Land Paris by adding a Mos Eisley Cantina. There even had a rumor a few months ago from a poster on this sight about Disney Land Paris getting more Star Wars attractions beside updating Star Tours.

If the Star Wars replacing Indiana Jones and part of the DHS Parking, what would be happening Star Wars Land would start from part of the Parking lot to Star Tours if Disney decides to do that. That means more Star War attractions besides Star Tours besides having a building for Jedi Academy, and Mos Eisley Cantina.

Seeing they are so reactive in Orlando.. We could use a Wisteria Lane.. Seeing Desperate Housewives is over.. I think it is time that we make something at the parks now... Then we can make a plane and have a PanAm playground... All completed/canceled shows... Yea that sounds really good to me.. ha!

Last I heard in September fron a NON-front line CM (it's a friend of mine VERY involved in LMA, let's say and not some Operations CM), that they are toying with the idea of getting rid of LMA because the sponsorship is about to expire. Obviously, this is "best time" to do something like that since they won't have to try and court another sponsor. He did say that they are just playing with the idea (last he had heard) and up to that point hadn't confirmed anything. Yeah, it's still hear say, but I trust him a bit more than a Bus Driver or CM. He's someone I used to work with so he doesn't tend to turn the rumor mill like a lot of CMs.

Carsland is going BEHIND LMA -- employees in those buildings back there have already been notified that their offices will be moving. The Tram Tour is being removed. LOTS of land back there.

By the way - I am not sure people realize how small Carsland actually is when it comes to physical space requirements.
I assume you're talking about the area East of LMA, Carsland could fit in there, but the run off for LMA may also be a problem.

I really don't see the Koch brothers dropping their sponsorship at disney world, they don't need any more pr blunders. Along with that, LMA take a huge chunk of guests out of the park for about an hour for each showing. I don't think that any other attractions at wdw can hold 1/5 to 1/4 of a single gate's daily attendance. Also that stadium cost a chunk of change to build, they would re-purpose it if anything. So be prepared for something moronic like Matter's Stunt Show Spectator.

It's not a "dropping" thing. Just like Epcot attractions, sponsors are on "contract" for so many years (I know most Epcot things they are 10 years). Just like many attractions over the years (i.e. Spaceship Earth), sponsors end their contracts and decide not to renew. I'd say LMA has the LEAST amount of sponsorship exposure in the whole park. Most people don't even know who the sponsor is for it.

Oh and that capacity only works when the show is full, which many times it isn't these days. I'm going off info on someone working there in the staff at LMA (once again, not frontline CM). That's the most I can say on all that.

Isn't Family Feud filmed or was filmed at Universal Orlando?

Anyways, I think the only rumor here that stands a chance of being true is the removal of VotLM and BatB. I've been saying for years that the area that BatB stands on has a decent size portion of land behind it, I think by adding another attraction here whether it be an E-Ticket or D-Ticket style attraction would serve this side of the park just fine. Yes, I do understand that we already have TOT and RnRC dominating that section of the park but seriously what harm is a new attraction going to do to a park that deserves it most? I think it's about time the tacky Sunset Boulevard Counter Service Restaurants get the axe, if Hollywood Studios is mean't to showcase live entertainment why not build one there? In fact, make it a top notch lunch/dinner show/character meet and greet based off of the House of Mouse. Replicate the building as it looks in the short-term series, within each time you visit you'll experience something new.. Mickey and MIC as your hosts (exactly like in the show), hundreds of different cartoon shorts being played, promotional trailers airing as well, a live audio-animatronic version of the "Quack-Street Boys" to perform, characters (even rare ones) walking table to table for pictures, and of course... *drum roll please* GOOD FOOD! And BAM! Sunset Boulevard will be stacked and jam packed along with Carsland. VotLM should have been rethemed and redone into a Bolt show and Indy is just fine as it is. Then there's that long awaited GMR refurb...
