I don't honestly care about FEA but I thought... I might as well ride it first thing and get it out of the way. That's the spirit! I also thought I was being smart and had an ulterior motive for being in Norway in the morning.
10:49 am, so roughly a 10 minute wait. The park hadn't even opened yet and the CMs that were guarding the stanchions in France said that nothing would open until 11. They lied to me!
We got stopped here, Sven and Olaf just stood there doing nothing lol. A mother behind me said "now the timing is going to be off for the entire ride!". Dear reader, the timing was not off. It was just this room. This ride is a disappointment and is not worth waiting more than 20 minutes imo.
ATTRACTION 1 COMPLETE. If you recall, I usually go on trips with my grandma and we try to one up our ride-record. Given my fear of the Skyliner, my grandma tried to sweeten the deal by saying that each ride on the Skyliner would count as an attraction, so if we go by that, FEA would really be Attraction 2. We'll see what my final tally is and then I'll decide.
I departed Arendelle and went as fast as my little legs would carry me to Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe. A CM was guarding the door - it was 11 am. Foolishly, I thought that it would be open, and I was soon sadly informed that it would not open until 11:30. I was starving, having driven here on a Nutri-Grain bar (strawberry flavor, I will hear no other arguments) and whatever other products I had been able to photosynthesize during my brisk walk around World Showcase. Where the HECK would I go for 30 minutes?
I thought maybe through the Mexico pavilion on a brief ride with the Tres Caballeros, but decided that the ride wouldn't kill enough time. Onwards.
My first glimpse of WALLCOT. It is strange coming through the International Gateway, I definitely missed SSE being the first thing you see when you come through the front gate. But Future World is abhorrently ugly at the moment (I'll get to that in a bit!) and I can't imagine what first-time guests think as they battle their way through dead-ends and crappy signage.
This picture is deceptive and I am a moron. This was a solo-trip! I was ready to hop into the single rider lane, but they had put out all these stanchions in front of the entrance to Test Track to extend the queue, and I stupidly thought I would have to get into it instead of approaching the single rider entrance directly. After about 10 minutes of watching people go directly to the single rider entrance, I got to the front of the stanchions and asked if I could get into the single rider lane. My request was approved. Oh well.
11:10 at this point, single rider was a walk-on! Hurray!!! With
ATTRACTION 2 COMPLETE, I still had oodles of time to kill even though my stomach was consuming itself at this point. I thought one more ride would do it, so I made my way to what is usually my first ride when arriving at EPCOT/WALLCOT. I literally felt lost as I was trying to make my way there, which is a bizarre feeling as I feel like I know EPCOT like the back of my hand.
Almost there... Well, at least I was getting my steps in, right?
