Has anyone heard of a hurricane coming in on sunday. I am supposed to go all next week. I hate wasting money when the weather will mess everything up.

Tropical Depression 9 is the only thing out there.
Could affect sometime around Sunday evening now with current projections.

Ohh forgot you were flying in Sunday..that projection to me is too soon to show whether some or any of Florida will be effected...more likely that mess will be a problem on Monday or Tuesday
Thats fine by me! As long as I get there! We can deal with some rain! We are passing eachother in the wind. You arrive on the 1st?

Go anyway. We were there for Hurricane Floyd in '99 (1st time they ever closed the parks). The storm turned north and generally was just a rain event. However, since Disney "hurricane proffed" the parks and sent cast members home to take care of themselves & family, all the parks were closed with the exception of Animal Kingdom which was opened to resort guests only. Was actually fun - only lost a 1/2 day in the parks. Besides, the rain will probably keep the crowds down.

Steve provides updates from the National Hurricane Center as soon as they are posted (every 3-4 hours, usually). You can see them under the Weather forum, and be able to keep an eye on the track of the storm.
Thanks! We will be keeping our eye out on this one.

Have a great trip and hopefully it won't affect you. Keep a look on the predicted track over the next couple of days. These predictions tend to change a lot and with shifts to the east being common. Hopefully that will happen and the worst you'll get is rain. Still lots of hope for that.
