They were also doing a dolphin demonstration.
And some tank cleaning as well. This diver was observing the tank cleaner.
Or maybe watching these guys...
Once we were done in there, our BG was called. Josh did not want to ride because he didn't want to feel bad again and I was feeling hot and tired, so we headed out. We waited so long for a bus and the AC felt sooo good once we finally got on. We rested up and did some packing. We also made a dinner reservation for one of our favorite spots! We hadn't planned on going this trip, but since we didn't fill up on F&W like we expected we knew we wanted to go. I couldn't find any reservations on the app, but found one on Open Table. Some of you may remember how much we love this place!
I urge you all to give it a go. The food is always so good and service has always been great and they play great music! There is literally something for everyone. We got a lovely window seat and could see the progress on the Summer House on the Lake. At this time, it looked like there was still a lot of work to be done.
We got the Macho Nachos for an appetizer which were amazing!
I got the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with onion rings.
And the reason Josh loves the place....their sushi so good!
Spicy Tuna and Crouching Dragon
We wandered a few shops before calling it a night! And that concludes our trip. We took an Uber to the airport the next morning which went a lot better than the Mears bus.
Overall, the trip was amazing. We loved Gran Destino. The lower crowds due to the hurricane was so great and we got so much done, but I never want to take such a long trip away from Cam again. I know it wasn't originally planned to be that long, but I couldn't wait to get home to my dude although he was fine and well taken care of by Granny. My only real let down this trip was food quality. To me, it seems the quality has gone down while the prices go up.
We made it home in time to welcome our new great nephew! Cam is not the baby of the family anymore, but he doesn't seem to mind.
Per my marriage agreement with Josh, next year will likely not include Disney as we agreed every other year, but I can't complain since this year I had the cruise and a trip to WDW. He's loving Disney more and more each trip, but still "wants to see other things". It's looking like a Vegas weekend for our couple's trip and a family trip to Branson for 2024.
As always, thank you all for sticking around and reading. I love sharing my trip with y'all!
