We were headed to Hollywood Studios for early entry. We have a HS tradition, so first thing we did when allowed in the park was head to Slinky Dog.
We were some of the very first in line, but once we arrived, the CMs informed us that Slinky Dog would not be opening with early entry and didn't know when it would actually open, so we had a choice to make. I knew that Slinky would be hard to get on if we got out of line and that meant we probably wouldn't ride it. Even with the genie, Slinky is typically not available during the hours we were planning to be in the park unless you grab it at 7am. We decided we would wait until at least park opening and then make a decision. Eventually we did see them start testing the ride and figured it would open with the park opening and sure enough it did. We were the first ones to ride that day.
Happy to be finally moving!
Once were off we headed to TSMM. We could see the line for Slinky was now well past the TSL entrance.
Greeted by Mr. Potato Head...it's been awhile!
We always try to guess what character we will get. We were both wrong.
I beat Josh and yes, I bragged about it for a couple days.
Our tradition after this is to usually go ride Aliens, but since we didn't have Cam, we decided to alter our tradition slightly and just head straight for breakfast, which we had mobile ordered on the bus ride over. Josh has to have one of his favorites in all of WDW...the Totchos.
I always like getting the tart, but wanted some protein and I am not down with chili for breakfast, so I went with the kid's size breakfast bowl.
The breakfast bowl has tots (or potato barrels as Disney likes to call them) with smoked brisket country gravy and scrambled eggs. I highly recommend. I still like the lemon blueberry tart the best, but I enjoy this one as well. They had a sweet potato tart with cinnamon-brown sugar icing, but I was worried I wouldn't like it.
I'm happy we decided to wait it out with Slinky Dog. With breakfast in our bellies, our "slightly altered" TSL rope drop was complete!
