Also the newest forecast has this slowing down off the coast for even longer. This could be a major disaster, FL will not be able to handle that much rain, and there might be evacuations for a majority of the entire state if this holds (inland and even the east coast) due to flooding. Pay attention to local authorities, this may get really ugly.

Anyone within an evacuation zone in Tampa should leave now. If I still lived in Brandon, I'd have left yesterday at the latest.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
That’s correct. Vacationed over the years at WDW and have witnessed small business owners of name brand gas close up shop when the power goes out. Trying to buy a case of beer during a power outage is not easy.
We are in Fort Pierce. Went to the Walmart SuperCentre last night around 8:00.

The commercial bread shelves were empty, but in-store bakery goods were plentiful. The entire aisle of water was completely bare. Fruits and salads were very picked over.

Beer … full selection available. Even after Hubby stocked up.

We filled up at Wawa afterward. We have a large truck, so we had to circle twice to get a spot that lined up with the tank, but there was no line to speak of.

Wouldn't it be more accurate to say "...puts the center of the path of uncertainty 100 miles from Tampa."?
Not really, as this is one variable. I meant it in the context of that particular model. I would have been more explicit in the broader sense of the system for the change, but its just one data set of many.

Well, the models are tightening towards Tampa. I'm sure you've looked at the topography. Tampa Bay + storm surge = bad experience for hundreds of thousands of people.

Chalk up another cancellation... I was supposed to fly down tomorrow but decided to postpone my trip to next March. At least by shifting my visit I didn't lose the deposit I would have if I had cancelled the first night at Pop.

Hey, maybe Tron will be open by then (maybe there's an outside chance?).

Best of luck to those who are still in the path of this thing. Still a chance it will miss Orlando.
I would’ve done exactly this. Not worth taxing all the first responders by adding more people to a difficult situation for one thing.
