On that site or on this forum?
That site, good ol' r/disneyparks boogeyman #2. I live in Massachusetts, so I'm not able to eat California barbecue that may or may not be made by bears. However, I do get to cobble together video clips and add some Country Bear Flair to it, so there's that. Here's a little Henry, for example!
Hey gang, hit it!

(And as a semi-related side note, I'm not offended if anyone doesn't like the-site-that-can't-be-named. As a man on the inside though who really has no stake in the company, I can attest to the integrity of the staff and that claims made against them are made up because some people don't like you-know-who (this fandom loves holding onto petty drama and villainizing people for having different opinions, after all cough Twitter smearing people who like Splash cough cough). The-site-that-can't-be-named has lots of good people who are doing their best for the thing they love- and that includes Mr. Ray O'Sunshine himself.)

The thing is, we aren't THAT far removed from when Big Thunder Ranch BBQ existed. People are coming here thinking that's what they'll get, but I highly doubt anything is being freshly BBQ'd while you are waiting for your order.

Yeah this is NOT that. I regret not eating there more when it existed but we just didn’t do Disneyland like that back then. We didn’t waste a lot of time doing sit down meals. It wasn’t as much about the food back then… for us at least.

We are at DLR regularly and I would have been fine eating mediocre BBQ in the lovely riverside environment with CBJ classics playing (and also assuming they didn’t do anything to screw up the French fries, which have always been better than average at Hungry Bear)—but if it’s mostly the new music and random country instrumentals, the food will have to be at least as good as regal eagle to be added to our regular rotation.

Just watched a video. Overall looks like a tasteful update. Except for the food haha. I like that they kept all the signs with slight modifications. Music is not blasting and at an appropriate level. It’s so low I can’t even tell if they re playing instrumentals only or the full songs with vocals.

Was the food at Hungry Bear ever good? I don’t think I’ve ever eaten there in all my trips, I assume it’s probably par for the course Disney quick service food.

Serviceable. Not great. The seasonal fried fish sandwich was pretty good. Onion rings were good at one point. Not sure if that’s still true. I’ve heard that honey spiced fried chicken sandwich was also good.

I tried it when it was supposed to be good around 2013/2014 and even then found it lacking. But perhaps the tomato sandwich was the main reason people were celebrating it then, and I didn't order that.

The seating area is decent, but food wise I've always found it unremarkable.

The chicken sandwich at HBR was my go to dish at Disneyland. I don't know why people are so picky when it comes to food at Disneyland. At the end of the day it's theme park food and that's what you should expect (exceptions for places like Blue Bayou or Carthay Circle).
