Good value??

How much wud this usually set u back??

I don't know for sure, but that's 14 nights for $800, which is about $55 a night.

Naturally the longer a cruise the less per night (I would hope) but a 7 day cruise will start at roughly $100 per person per night for inside staterooms, and go up from there.

$55 a night is a heck of a deal.

Here is a comparison of some deals that are out there. If this 14 night cruise is in a 9D stateroom for $50 per person per night, I declare it a super hot inferno deal.

If I had the vacation time, I would consider going in May in addition to the one I have booked in July at that price.

These rates are valid through February 20, 2011 and are limited to 50 staterooms per Category

7-Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise – St. Maarten, St. Thomas/St. John, Castaway Cay
04/09/2011 - $165 Per Person, Per Night (based on double occupancy), 6A (Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah)
04/23/2011 - $155 Per Person, Per Night (based on double occupancy), 9D (Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom)

10- and 11-Night Mediterranean Cruises
05/28/2011 - $90 Per Person, Per Night (based on double occupancy), 9D (Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom)
06/08/2011 - $110 Per Person, Per Night (based on double occupancy), 9D (Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom)
06/08/2011 - $110 Per Person, Per Night (based on double occupancy), 9D (Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom)

14-Night Transatlantic Cruise Eastbound Cruise
05/14/2011 - $50 Per Person, Per Night (based on double occupancy), 9D (Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom)

Sorry, I missed this yesterday! I don't have the exact cost before they went down, but as Dave said, $50 a night is incredible.

I would estimate it was at least twice that before this sale, but probably 3 or 4 times as much.

The airfare is definitely a factor for people, but it's also during most people's school calendar. The summer Mediterranean cruises are selling great!

I believe the airfare cost is whats really hurting Disney's bookings on these TAs.

Yep! When the Alaska discount came out hubby and I were so ready to pounce...until we saw how much it would cost to fly us to/from Vancouver. Just the flights would've been double the cost of the cruise. No thanks. I looked last night and the cheapest I found from Barcelona to Houston was like $1700 each....again, more than double the cost of the cruise itself. Insane. :hammer:

$1700!! Yikes!! We paid $800 from Colorado Springs last year. Not good, but not $1700!!

FYI, most airlines offer Vancouver for the standard 25,000 frequent flyer miles. United did and I was shocked! We are all flying on miles.

Some of our group are flying into Seattle. It's way way cheaper and only a few hours to Vancouver.:)

I don't know that we would have enough frequent flyer miles to do anything with. We don't fly enough, I guess. I hadn't thought about Seattle. I'll have to have a little looky at that.

I definitely agree with you 100%!!! We looked into booking this cruise last sept for this year and airfare from Philly to Spain would have cost double what the cruise would have cost me!!!
