How would Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway fit in Disneyland Paris?

Yes
How can it fit in Fantasyland then? Because I don't believe it was ever truly answered. I wanted to know how it could fit the Fantasyland aesthetic.

As for the Imagineering page, I've also already posted about that there (https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/mickeyville-a-new-land-in-disneyland-paris.977482/), but it didn't really go anywhere because @DisneyFan32 hijacked it to make it about Roger Rabbit, even though I've specifically mentioned avoiding Roger Rabbit.

Actually, the inspiration for this thread was in an article I had discovered recently: https://thedisinsider.com/2022/08/11/why-disneyland-paris-deserves-mickey-minnies-runaway-railway/. It talks about how it would be difficult to do a Toontown-like area in Disneyland Paris without getting rid of the Alice maze, Storybook Land and Casey Jr., and I don't want to do that, which was why I had begun to wonder if it would be possible to do the Mickey ride without Toontown.
Maybe you should make a Roger Rabbit's Hollywood for DHS (what if the land builted at Disney-MGM Studios in early 1990s) thread topic soon...

IMHO because Europe didn't have the relevant history of trolly parks (the British do, but that's what they call the holding pens for grocery carts) but rather amusement areas near the center of town it, the story line wouldn't transfer very well.

As others have said the studios is the obvious fit but In fantasyland there isn’t a reason why you couldn’t build the ride with an olde worlde theme like a concert hall or opera house like mickeys philhamagic
The reason I had thought about Disneyland Paris instead of the Studios is because Disneyland Paris has been ignored for too long and I feel it needs attention. Plus, "Perfect Picnic" is played in a movie theater, not a stage theater.

completely hypothetical but would be cool imo. If they could gut that massive building beside Rat that houses toilets, a gift shop and a ton of backstage stuff and relocate all of that else where..., That building is about the footprint of MMRR and if they made it blend in with the Rat facade and created a new entrance/exit area that fits the parisian french square theme and now you have an amazing exclusive darkride area in a beutiful french square.

I mean we Europeans/British still get the general idea of going to a park for a picnic? (That's just what I always thought it was anyway? Rather than a specific trolley park). I don't think the storyline is really that deep.

There’s the Imaginations building that could be relocated (aside from the part used for the Rat expansion). Almost the right footprint shape too!

Why on earth would you build a Mickey dark ride in a land literally called "The Worlds of PIXAR" ???????

Btw Toontown was considered in the late nineties for the Fantasyland/Discoveryland expansion pad between IASW and Star Tours. Years later the "World of Frozen" was envisioned here before it replaced the scaled down version of Cars land proposed in the initial WDS expansion plan, then MM : RR was rumored to fit here ...

Every time I see this I wonder if you're just finding the thread entertaining or if there have been fascinating developments behind the scenes . . . given how projects at DLP seem to be in flux it feels like either could be possible here!
Let the record show that @marni1971 offered no verbal response but instead only liked this comment, cryptically.

The plot thickens . . .

Not there, just at the Studios somewhere, whose theme evidently is much looser than Disneyland Paris.

I created this thread to see how it would fit there thematically

Well, I guess the best location would be where the ANIMATION CELEBRATION+ CARS QUATRE ROUES RALLYE+bathrooms actually stand. But do they really want to spend money on destroying the few extra little activities this park offers now ? I mean such a big new building would be undeniably beneficial for both Production Courtyard and the Worlds of Pixar (cuz one facade of the building could be themed like a Sydney street and complimentary to Crush's Coaster very light theming) but they might rather spend it on all new mini lands...

Plus Disneyland Paris still has ZERO ride or dining location based on Winnie the Pooh, Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid, that should actually be their priority given the popularity of those three IPs.

I would love to see Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast dark rides in DLP's Fantasyland - and truthfully I would love to see ones totally reconsidered from the ones that exist at other resorts. Go further back stylistically and match Pinocchio, Snow White, and Peter Pan in their traditional, handpainted, blacklight bus-bar glory. Those films have so much potential in that medium and the Renaissance movies never really got that treatment. Do them simply and do them right!

The lack of a Winnie the Pooh attraction in DLP is what puzzles me the most. There is already one in each Disney Resort other than DLP. If they just build the basic dark ride it should not be that expensive at all and easily fit next to the Storybook Land Boats.

It would not be a ride I am personally keen on experiencing in Paris. But it would be a nice addition for families with smaller kids and to Fantasyland in general. This could also sell additional Pooh merchandise. Of course, Beauty and the Beast and/or The Little Mermaid should also find a home in Fantasyland. Though I would have much higher expectations in terms of ride scope & quality.

I feel if DLP opened in the late 90s apposed to the early 90s it would have opened with a Pooh ride.
Lack of money in the first 20 years probably prevented it now there’s more popular/profitable IPs to leverage.

Winnie the Pooh is probably not Star Wars or Frozen IP level. But I had a look at Shop Disney and saw that within the Toy section there are many Winnie the Pooh toys ranking even before any of the Disney Princess products - Grogu being in #1 spot. There is also a new Winnie the Pooh musical touring UK. Hence, I would not underestimate the popularity of those characters with smaller kids or Disney fans in general. The needed investment for an attraction would be rather low - especially compared to Frozen in WDS.
