Hi all

thanks for all the great posts at this site (wish i could offer something resembling intelligence about wdw :brick:)

yes, it's our first trip to wdw!! and we're doing the 7:15 Hoop-Dee-Doo the day we arrive.

 so how will we travel, how long will it take, how early should we get there?

is it possible to have my tickets at the resort when we check in?

thanks for your help!

I am pretty sure there is a boat from Poly to Fort Wilderness. Boat ride may stop at another resort (WL or CR). If not, I don't think buses go directly to FW from the resorts so..... you will have to take the Monorail to either MK or Transportation Center and catch a bus to FW and then tranfer, at the FW entrance, to the FW Campground bus that will take you to the HOOPDEE DOO. Again .. I am pretty sure there is a shuttle boat though. I would plan to be ther 1/2 hr at least to insure a good seat.. not that there is a bad seat. While the performers move throughout the building, the lower level in front seems to get the most interaction. Hope I helped and have fun!!

Your tickets will be at your hotel. Take the monorail to the MK, then get on the boat that goes to Ft. Wilderness. Do not take the bus....once you get to Ft. Wilderness you would have to get on anothe bus on their internal bus system....it is much faster to go by boat. Your table is preassigned, so you dont have to worry about getting there early to get a good seat. We usually arrive about 20 minutes before start time. We always leave fromt the WL, so I cant help you with travel time....my guess would be to leave the Poly no later than 6:15 to play it safe, but ask your concierge. If all goes well with transportation and you get there a liltle early, it is fun to walk around Ft. WIlderness for a bit. There are some animals pretty close to the Hoop de due venue that you can go visit. It is a great show!

I don't think there is a boat that goes from Poly to Fort Wilderness but there is one that goes from the Magic Kingdom. The boat stops at Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. So you can take a different boat or monorail from Poly to the front of Magic Kingdom then catch the boat to Fort Wilderness. The trip will take 30-45 minutes depending on your luck catching trains and boats.

You could also take the monorail to the Contemporary, and then take the boat to FW from there. You will love this show!!!! It is definitely worth the money. I am in fact going on November 1st. This will be my 3rd time seeing it!!! I love it!!!!!:sohappy:

I know the answer to this one! We did this in May.

Just take the boat from Poly to MK (it's faster than riding the monorail) and then take the boat from MK to Fort Wilderness. We gave ourselves and hour to get there/ get checked in and we had plenty of time to spare.

Good luck and have fun!

Take either a monorail or launch from the Poly to the Magic Kingdom. Take the launch from the MK to Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness, ask a CM to be sure you grab the right boat, the dock is labled, you can tell by the color flag on the boat itself, I forget which one though, I think it might be gold/yellow. From the FW pier it is a short walk to Pioneer Hall and Hoop Dee Doo. I took this route a couple of months ago and it worked out great. We left at 6:15PM and got to FW at about 7:00PM. Leave earlier if the crowds are high. We picked up our tickets when we checked into our hotel, we did it the first day of our stay as well. Be sure to show your tickets to the CM standing in front of Pioneer Hall when you arrive to check in. It's a great show, you'll have fun.

I stand corrected!!!! Did they always have pre-assigned tables though??? or just with the newer price structing?

one more question

i take it this is inside AK...so will this require a use of our ticket/pass into the park? i mean will i have to use one of the days of our ten day park hopper pass? i assume so.

No, the Hoop Dee Doo is at Pioneer Hall at Fort Wilderness (the campground). It will not require park entry ticket to get to it. Pioneer Hall is just up from the boat landing and to the right.

One point to clarify...when you get to the Magic Kingdom you don't enter the park itself, you catch the launch just outside the park at the Seven Seas lagoon. When I took the launch from MK to FW it did not stop at the contemporary, it only stopped at the WL and then FW then it reversed it's route back to MK. There must be a separate launch loop for the Contemporary.

Believe me, after your 1st trip you'll be amazed at how much you will have learned! :D
Yes, your tickets should be available at the front desk of your resort.
You can pick them up the day of the show so that you will not lose them.
To get from the Poly to FW for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, I would say take the monorail from the Poly to the MK, then either hop on a bus to FW or take the boat to FW from the MK (remember to allow for a little more time if you take the boat).
Hope this helps!
Have a great 1st trip!

There is a small boat that does the loop between CR, WL and FW.....but there is no boat between MK and CR. The larger boats do the loop from MK, WL, and FW. The smaller boats at the MK go to the Poly and GF.
