Ok, well I did a search but didn't find anything. Well I'm heading to the park tomorrow with my girlfriend as a surprise for Valentines day. Well since she doesnt know where we are going I told her to wear Jeans and a nice shirt and shoes but she had to talk to her mom and her mom talked her into wearing black pants and a nice long sleeve shirt. Not to my problem, Ive always worn jeans and its been fine, but shes Is wanting me to wear khaki and a polo shirt now and I'm afraid I'm going to look like a walking around in a polo. Anyways anybody s advise on this would be great thank.

Several thousand other men will be wearing khakis and a polo shirt at WDW tomorrow. You won't look the least bit out of place.

Khakis and polos are standard dress these days and you will not be out of place. There is nothing wrong with going past the standard jeans and a t shirt. Don't want the khakis? Then go with a nice clean, unripped pair of jeans and a button down dress shirt.

Ive seen men in coats and ties and women in evening dresses in the MK before. I just assumed that they had dined at V&As.

Ok, guys I'm sorry about the use of the word retarded, I meant it in the NERDLYEST WAY HONEST not to put someone down. Anyways I guess Ive just never really thought about it and looked around and seen people wearing polo shirts. Ive always see the typical tourist look with shorts and Hawaiian shirt, anyways thanks for everybody's help it makes my day easier.

I would step it up a little beyond the khakis and polo. Maybe a nice pair of wool pants, a button down shirt in a bright color. Be sure to wear comfortable but classy shoes, and get them polished. And avoid the water rides.

Enjoy,
mg

As others have said, you won't stand out. It'll never EVER happen, but there are times I personally wish that there was a dresscode at the parks. The clothes some people wear can ruin the unique atmosphere and charm of Disney parks. Images of the "Tiggah" kid come to mind.

Why not throw her for a loop? Tell her mother to tell her that plans have changed and she should wear her absolute nicest dress. High heels, the works. Then, have some of her own casual-but-nice clothes tucked in the car, so when she starts getting angry for being overdressed, you can give her her other clothes.

LOL :ROFLOL: yeah wool in Floriduh, I have one pair of wool pants and I only wear them when I feel like being itchy all over.

Yeah when your planning on proposing tomorrow evening that is not a good idea to tick her off in the morning. She might just play a trick of her own on you and say "FORGEEETT ABOOOUTTT IIITTT"

Yeah I could do without some of the stuff I have seen in the parks over the past few years, let alone the stuff I Saw going to college and working at my parents flea market booth some weekends. I tell you the worst was Busch Gardens this last summer, I mean come on wear a T-Shirt. I think Busch Gardens finally changed the rules to no Bathing Suit Tops but I'm not sure.

Yes its Valentines Day but why not be comfortable. Unless your are going to a nice sit down restuant I would wear what ever you would normally wear to the park.
