How scary is Rock'n'Roller Coaster and Dinosaurs?

Welcome to wdw magic. Dinosaur really only jerks you around, no drops. Now RnRC is fun and doesn't have drops just an intense slingshot feeling. It does go from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds. Hope that helps have a great time.

Hello all!

So my boyfriend and I went to WDW for our College Spring Break last year (unlike everyone else I knew, I didn't want to get drunk on a beach) and we had an AMAZING TIME! However, we only went to Epcot and Magic Kingdom. This year, we planned another trip and are going again for Spring Break in two weeks. We have park hoppers this time around, so the first day we wanted to do a couple of rides at Animal Kingdom and then hop on over to Hollywood Studios.

Soooooo I'm kinda scared of roller coasters. I like ones that have over the shoulder harnesses and loops and turns, but large hills are the bane of my existence. I hate the feeling of my stomach dropping. I have read things about Expedition Everest, and it doesn't seem to be bad, but I wanted to know how Dinosaurs and Rock'n'Roller Coaster are. I know the latter is completely in the dark, which is why I'm nervous. Dinosaurs I heard was intense because of the realism. So what are your opinions?

For comparison, I've been on Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain and thought both were very easy (and fun) rides. I've also been on Test Track and liked it. I will never get on a ride like tower of terror or splash mountain because I just don't do drops like that. Outside of Disney, I have been on the mummy returns and the Hulk out in Universal Studios and enjoyed both (though the mummy was the scariest to me out of all of them). Do you all think that RnRC is doable or should we just avoid it? I think Space Mountain was ok for me because even though it was dark, the drops themselves aren't actually steep at all. How does RnRC compare?

I have been to Disney World many times and have always found an excuse for not going on the scary rides. In 2013 I made a promise to wife that I would try them all. So I went on Tower of Terror, Rocking Roller Coaster, Space Mountain and Expedition Everest and Dinosaurs. After going on them I found that I imagined them being so much more scary than they actually were. Space Mountain was mild. Only doing it in the dark made it a little scary. Rocking Roller Coaster it was just the start. 0 to 60 mph in seconds after that not to bad. On EE the one big drop scared me so I just starred at the seat in front of me for that brief second. Dinosaurs is just a bumpy ride in the vehicle with some flashing light. When you see little kids coming off all these rides with big smiles on there faces I figured I could survive it.

For my kids The worst part is the wait to load onto the ride...You can see the Ride take off from the Entire Line and hear all the screaming which elevates my kids anxiety levels.
