How scary is Rock'n'Roller Coaster and Dinosaurs?

My son does not like drops either and will not ride Tower of Terror but will ride Splash mountain. The rule in my family is you have to try it to know you don't like it much like eating dinner. We will not make him ride Tower of Terror again since he did not like it but he is sure glad he finally road Splash Mountain. He was hesitant to try Rock'n Roller coaster and Dinosaur but those are two of his favorite rides now.
My advice, just try them. Much like anything sometimes we have to push ourselves to try things that scare us. Not saying go jump out of a plane, but I really think you will like these.

I like ones that have over the shoulder harnesses and loops and turns, but large hills are the bane of my existence. I hate the feeling of my stomach dropping.

For comparison, I've been on Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain and thought both were very easy (and fun) rides. I've also been on Test Track and liked it. I will never get on a ride like tower of terror or splash mountain because I just don't do drops like that. Outside of Disney, I have been on the mummy returns and the Hulk out in Universal Studios and enjoyed both (though the mummy was the scariest to me out of all of them).

I am a coaster chicken. Based on what you said, you will enjoy RnRC and have no problem on Dinosaur. RnRC is somewhat similar in feel to Mummy. It has inversions but nothing like the loop-de-loops on Hulk so if you liked Hulk (which you couldn't pay me to try!), you'll have no problem on RnRC. I hate stomach dropping as well which is why I don't like Everest or ToT. If you think you can do Everest based on appearances then you'll have no problem on RnRC or Dinosaur. The "scariest" part of RnRC is the fast launch, not the darkness.

Oh, and I'd give Splash a try. The only big drop is that one at the end and it is over so fast that you barely have time to register that stomach-dropping feeling.

See now I'm scared of EE lol. The videos didn't look too bad but then again I suppose it'd be worse in person. Is it really bad in comparison to the initial ones I named? Like if I can ride the Hulk and Space Mountain and BTM can I handle EE? Lol. I'm such a wimp when it comes to this stuff.

At least you all made me feel better about RnRC and Dinosaur lol

Based on your comments you will be fine on RnRC. Ride it.

You will be scared on Dinosaur. Ride it if your boyfriend is kind of disappointed about not getting drunk on a beach and will take you jumping into his arms in fear as a consolation prize. Sit on the outside of the vehicle so that you jump into his arms, not a stranger's.

Not sure about Everest. I thought it was really tame, but drops don't bother me. Is there a steep drop? I don't even remember. Going backwards really didn't do anything for me, positive or negative.

Yes you can. It is nothing compared to Hulk. My 6yo son rode it and loved it. We'll go on it this trip(he'll be 8) and i'm sure he'll think it is pretty wimpy compared to the other coasters he's been on.

EE is fun, like Big Thunder with a backwards section, watch out for the Yeti. Dinosaur is currently pointless. A bumpy truck ride in the dark. Cute storyline but right now most of the interior is dark. Half of it is broken or turned off. Rock n' Roller coaster is awesome. Great launch, fast ride. You do not even realize that you are inverted 3 times because it happens so fast and the soundtrack is great.

You should be okay with RnRC being that there are not drops. Just really loud music and very fast.
Dinosaur is strange because though its not a roller coaster it's not for everyone. My older sister is emotionally scarred from it from going on when she was little. But I love it, it's one of my favorites. It's REALLY fun, its just the realism that gets people. But I highly suggest both, this way you know for sure what you like. Plus they're both epic!

Hulk is much more intense than anything at WDW. The launch in RnR is mild and the rest is swoopy loopy. NO drops! And it isn't even all that dark. There is no point that you can't see the track in front of you. RnR simply is just a fun ride.

Dinosaur is loud and jerky with several comically unconvincing robot dinos.

EE has the backwards section that is mostly pointless and a medium sized drop. But still light years less intense than Hulk.

Heading for the great escape.
they are both terrifying and I would encourage as many guests as possible who have such concerns to utilise more appropriate rides.

Well the Dinosaur I'm less scared about the "roller coaster" aspect and more of the "omg I'm gonna die because this thing is gonna eat me" aspect. That's why I don't do haunted houses lol.

@PrincessNelly_NJ Well it seems like it's a banked turn though, as in it kinda goes left as you go down. In comparison, Splash Mountain is straight down with a slow trek up that hill. Banked turns are easier and it seems like most have said that the Splash Mountain hill feels worse. Should I be scared still?
True. It isn't a big drop but it can give you that drop stomach feeling. But honestly, it is really fun. If I were you I think dealing with the 4 second drop would totally be worth the rest of the ride. I say you give it a chance.

Yup. Hulk is the most intense coaster in Florida. The only thing that rivals it is SheikRa at Busch Gardens.

EE has the backwards section that is mostly pointless and a medium sized drop.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a coaster junkie and Everest's lack of a real drop or airtime disappointed me. It uses all its momentum for big, swopping helices rather than anything truly dynamic. Take away the reverse section and it's just a bigger, smoother version of Big Thunder.

I'd put Kumba in that conversation. Kraken, too.

I'd say those are better coasters, but the way Hulk hits you with the launch, heartline, 100 foot drop, then punts you through a cobra roll at 65mph, all in the first 15 seconds, is unmatched by any other coaster in the state.
Pity the thing runs out of ideas once it leaves the lagoon, but then again the Hulk was never known for being that smart.

Depends which Hulk personality we're talking about. The most famous, "Rage Hulk", that's true. But if we were talking about the Grey Hulk (aka Joe Fix-It) or "The Professor", well that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish.

RNRC big excitement is the "take off". Then through a loop, and the rest is just fast and furious! There are some sideways "corkscrew loops" I believe, but the ride is over is lees than 2 minutes.
Dinosaur is just too loud! The bumpiness bothers me too! The first time I rode it, I had my eyes closed most of the time!

Dinosaur lost it's scare factor over time. Now it is just jerky and dark to the point you can't see anything.

RnRC is tame past the launch. It has a faster launch than Hulk, but mellows out immediately. Hulk sends into a much more intense inversion.

EE is not that intense either. If you survive the launches for Hulk and RnRC, the drops on EE are going to be easy.
