How scary is Rock'n'Roller Coaster and Dinosaurs?

RnRC is very scary! Well the pre show bit anyway, rock groups should stick to what they are good at and that is pretty much everything but acting LOL.
DS now 9 can't wait till Oct as he will finally be tall enough for Hulk etc he has wanted to do them since his first visit for his 3rd birthday! We all love RC so we can't wait.

Look at it this way, no one is going to die. Some day when you are a parent and take your kids to Disneyworld, are you going to be the parent that "doesn't do those rides" and stand outside the big attractions waiting while your kids have the times of their lives? You want to miss that? Face your fears! My first time on RnRC I couldn't remember the whole ride because of the adrenalin rush. Just do it and report back! With that said, believe it or not I avoid the tea cups. It's the only ride anywhere that I think will make me sick! Shhhhh. Don't tell my kids!

Hi guys!!! Well, after reading everyone's super helpful responses, I think we're gonna do all three: EE, RnRC and Dinosaur. NEVER TOWER OF TERROR lol.

I guess the thing about the Hulk is that you're strapped down super tight so I never got that "omg I'm falling out of my seat feeling". But I suppose if you guys think I can handle the stuffs at Disney, I'll trust you all ^_^ thanks for the advice!!

RnRC has the same securement device as Hulk, I think. (shoulder harness) Dinosaur has seat belts and doesn't do anything that would actually throw you out anyway unless you tried to stand up. Can't do that with the seat belt. I've only ridden EE once, but if I remember correctly there isn't any place where you get air time. Centrifugal force keeps you in your seat with a lap bar. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

Ok. Great. We're making progress. That's what I'm talking about. Now, we can't stop here until we convince you to bundle ToT in with the rest of them. ToT is a cake walk once you do the other rides. You'll love the theming of the hotel lobby and the basement. You have to do it.
Funny story, when my son was 7 we went on ToT, yes even after he threw up in line from being nervous(nice parents). After the ride he was so excited, looked at us and said "mommy and daddy, I almost wet my pants!" We looked at him and said "actually, you did wet your pants!"
Let us know how you liked ToT too! There are a lot of people on this site counting on you

My husband and I are still visiting the parks, now w/o the kids. We do all the thrill rides! Including, EE, TOT and Mission Space Orange! And he is afraid of heights and rode Dino with his eyes close the first few times. He has his coaster legs now and we look forward to every thrilling moment together!

Here's our funny ToT story. DS was 7 when DH took him on the ride for the first time. When he came off I said, "Did you like it?" and he smiled and said, "Yes." So DH says to him,"Would you like to go on again?" And DS answered, "Do I have to?" We nearly fell on the floor laughing. LOL. Now DS is 14 and has ridden it dozens of times and loves it. I, on the other hand, gave it the one time test, and I will never ride it again. I hated not only the feeling of dropping but also the feeling of getting thrown back up in the air for the next drop.

Hello all!

So my boyfriend and I went to WDW for our College Spring Break last year (unlike everyone else I knew, I didn't want to get drunk on a beach) and we had an AMAZING TIME! However, we only went to Epcot and Magic Kingdom. This year, we planned another trip and are going again for Spring Break in two weeks. We have park hoppers this time around, so the first day we wanted to do a couple of rides at Animal Kingdom and then hop on over to Hollywood Studios.

Soooooo I'm kinda scared of roller coasters. I like ones that have over the shoulder harnesses and loops and turns, but large hills are the bane of my existence. I hate the feeling of my stomach dropping. I have read things about Expedition Everest, and it doesn't seem to be bad, but I wanted to know how Dinosaurs and Rock'n'Roller Coaster are. I know the latter is completely in the dark, which is why I'm nervous. Dinosaurs I heard was intense because of the realism. So what are your opinions?

For comparison, I've been on Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain and thought both were very easy (and fun) rides. I've also been on Test Track and liked it. I will never get on a ride like tower of terror or splash mountain because I just don't do drops like that. Outside of Disney, I have been on the mummy returns and the Hulk out in Universal Studios and enjoyed both (though the mummy was the scariest to me out of all of them). Do you all think that RnRC is doable or should we just avoid it? I think Space Mountain was ok for me because even though it was dark, the drops themselves aren't actually steep at all. How does RnRC compare?
RnRC has very little "dropping" in the ride at all so if you like loops and over the shoulder harnesses you are more than good there...I'd be more concerned with Tower of Terror than RnRC but if you are even thinking about not doing Tower of Terror just do it once because it might be the best ride in Disney World. As for Dinosaur I guess it could be "scary" but not in a thrilling type of way just dinosaurs jumping out at you and the car jerking back forth nothing too intense you should be fine on both.

It's just personal preference I guess.... I don't get scared on roller coasters, so I love Rock N Rollercoaster. Dinosaur is amazing! It's kind of scary, just because everything feels so close and I hate the high pitched Dinosaur sound :D, but it is so much fun and they are both worth doing.

Well the reason I say I'll never ride ToT is because I don't like "drop" rides in general. I've ridden Acrophobia at my local Six Flags over Georgia and I didn't get on thrill rides for like 2 years lol. It's just that stomach free fall feeling I hate.

RnRC I'm actually excited about. Loops are fine if I have a shoulder harness lol. For Dinosaur, I just told my boyfriend to expect my face to be buried in his shoulder for the whole ride.

Interesting thing about expedition everest though, while it's really high, the biggest drop is only 24 m apparently. That's actually a bit lower than other roller coasters I've been to so I'm not scared now lol

Counting down now. One week from today we'll be there! I'm so excited lol.

I used to be very hesitant with rides like you reconsidering. I tried them and loved them and they're now some of my favorites. Dinosaur has some realistic points but overall, it's a very enjoyable, fun ride. Remember, they're just rides!!!! Once I taught myself that, I now do everything.

I'm a chicken about going to Roller Coasters and RnRC was awesome.
Was too afraid to do Everest though...let me know how it goes.

The drops aren't what makes ToT scary, it's waiting for the drops. My sister and I rode once and the ride got stuck, and let me tell you, THAT is an unnerving experience.

I have no problem with anything at Disney, but I refuse to get on the Hulk :in pain:

That make Hulk sad.
