How much did your trip cost?

As $$s getting thrown out - - Anyone use the Disney Visa thing and get the Disney rewards dollars....Are they accepted everywhere at the Park?

Are they accepted at restaurants...chiefly for me this time In Showcase's Le Cellier and the Liberty Tree Tavern at MK?
or is it more of use at the resort thing?

As its half a golfing trip - I assume its ok to use at the Resort courses for greens fees, etc....- correct?

Finally I've had the card for a few months and have built up a small bit of rewards dollars...they offer a referrall bonus up to 500bucks for a year. Does anyone know if thats a 500 dollar limit rewards....like period for a year.......or is that IN ADDITION to the rewards you already clocked?
Way better to get a real cash back/mileage credit card and use miles for plane tickets or cash for whatever.

Chase Sapphire Reserve > any card.

3 adults, Pop Century preferred room 15 days (or 14 nights) this Dec. 9-23 with regular dining plan, 10 day park hopper, memory maker - $5696.67.
Decided to add one night to the front at Pop - pool view preferred (only thing left by the time I wanted this) for Dec. 8th - $201.38.
Budget for Uber - $200
Budget for tips - $500
MVMCP tickets 3 adults Dec. 16 - $316.32
MK After Fireworks Dessert party 3 adults - $207.00
Grand Disney total (subject to change with souvenirs) = $8681.37 -- Discounted total = $8281.37
-----This does not include the portion of our trip we will be at Uni (Dec. 3-8, Hardrock Hotel 5 nights $1345.84, 3 adult tickets $910.56, Grinch breakfast 3 adults $111.78, food budget with tips $600.00). -- Discounted total = $2568
Airfare from Wa. state for 3 - around $1560 (average over the years, won't buy until Sep.) -- Discounted total = $1040
Overall total (with Uni) = $11649.55 -- Discounted total = 10329.55
For 3 adults, 21 days, all onsite = PRICELESS
Sidenote: Discounts - I actually save money on this total by 1. Paying for my entire Disney trip with GC that I have gotten at least 6% discount on (this includes xmas & dessert party) with various methods, save at least $400 off that total. 2. Was able to erase $400 of the Uni total so far with CC points. 3. Getting one airfare ticket free with CC points.

The Disney Rewards redemption card can be used anywhere that is a Disney property. All parks, all restaurants on property, all stores on property, and all Disney stores. I have $350 on mine which will cover most meals for our trip starting tomorrow. If staying onsite, it is easier. Just put all charges on your room. The night before you leave, take the Rewards card to the lobby, use it all to pay part of the balance, and the difference will bill to the card on file. Staying offsite is easy too. Just pay with it instead of your own cc.

So it's a bit hard for me because I have a dvc. so I'll include my annual dues.on this. my dues are 1176 a year. We are due in August at OKW. 2 bedroom villa for 4 people.

1,176 accomodations
1400.00 3- 5 day park hopper tickets.
0.00 annual pass that I got last year.
2000.00 food budget.
1476.00 air fare PHL to MCO
300.00 midsize car rental.

4352.00 not bad at all. We always put the food budget high. lol

We have DVC as well which makes it difficult to estimate. We have 15 nights coming up during the second half of Oct 2018 (7 nights at BLT, 8 nights AKL value studio). We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids 9 or under).

plane tickets about $1800 (Canadian)
DDP about $3,000 USD
AP from last trip (it was about $2400 USD with the DVC discount so say $1200 USD per trip)
Annual dues on our points is around $1250
Tips and souvenirs maybe around $1500 USD
Halloween party tickets with DVC discount were around $300 USD

Probably looking at around $7250 USD plus the $1800 Canadian for plane tickets. It feels like it should be less as you pay for the different components at different times with DVC, but it still adds up!

Staying at Shades of Green in November.. 9 days..
2 Rooms for 3 adults and a child, with their breakfast dining package, luckily 2 of us already have AP's so we only need 2 of the military reduced price tickets for 5 park hop days, and budgeting for 1 TS and 1 QS a day(went so far as had everyone pick the meal they thought theyd eat at each ADP) we are right around $3600 including the gas to and from Ohio..

Going in September 9-19 with husband and teenager; staying at Boardwalk with free dining (score), 8 day hopper, memory maker = 6500 usd. Plane tickets were 1600 cdn = so for me that 10,000. This does not include spending money or tips. Our spending money will be little as we have lots of souveniers over the years. We are also doing 2 days at universal but did not include that in the amount. This will be our last trip for many years. Too many other places to spend that kind of money. We go about every 4 years as that is how long it takes to save up for this trip. It's getting more expensive each time.

Pretty eye opening to see how much we all spend. I just booked a DVC point rental at the Polynesian for 7 nights in Feb 2019 for 2 adults and 1 kid, kind of a bucket list thing, made possible only by a windfall tax refund. My breakdown looks like this. Certain things are likely to be much higher, like dining (we'll do a few meals OOP that aren't covered in the DDP) and incidentals. Airfare may be more or less but not by much. This will be our first, and very likely last, time at a deluxe.

Poly Standard 7 nts: $2,754
7 Day Park Hopper: $1,402
Memory Maker: $169
Dining Plan: $1,237
Airfare: $900
Insurance: $268
Incidentals: $500
Total: $7,230

Previous trip, in Nov/Dec 2015, was around $4200 out the door if memory serves. Stayed at Pop. Even that was a stretch. I seriously considered going back to Bora Bora instead of this -- cost (with lux accommodations) would have been comparable.

I love the parks, love reliving my childhood, but each year it seems you get less for much more. I'm frankly shocked that they are able to pack them in the way do with these prices. I guess as long as DD asks to go, we will always consider it, but.... OUCH.

Usually we go for 2 weeks. Accomodations are free since we have a timeshare. But admission tickets and air fare for a family of 6 is $5000 alone. Add in almost $1000 for a rental minivan and food for 2 weeks and we usually spend 10K. That’s why it’s a maybe once every 3-4 years.

The only trip cost that comes to mind, is the one we paid the most for which was 6 days/7nights at All-Star Movies with 5 day base tickets for both of us, with the Deluxe Dining Plan.

With all of that plus gas, souvenirs and emergency funds, it came out to being around $4,200 (possibly a couple of hundred over, but that was the most we have ever paid).

Just got back last night.
Stayed at All Star Music for 9 nights.
9 day base tickets-no hopper.
Got 27 "free" QS meals from an offer in December.
Just under $3000
Drove from Chicago to WDW- Gas, 1 hotel room each way, food-$500
Brought our breakfast, snacks, water, powerade- much cheaper than buying there.
Got an $80 gift card for opting out of mousekeeping.
Brought a $100 gift card to use each day for souvenirs, snacks, etc.
Used the remaining GC $$$$ to buy LEGO for myself.

Wow, that is impressive! SOG must be a lot cheaper than the other Disney resorts? I know it's for military, of which my husband is a retired Army vet from the Viet Nam era. We have never thought to stay there, don't know why. It sounds like you are getting a great deal! We just spent $5000.00 for 8 1/2 days at POFQ with park hoppers, no dining plan, and airfare from N. Mn. Your price makes me want to check it out. thanks. That includes food and all the extras.

Went in May this year. Stayed at POFQ for 5 nights, me and daughter age 30. Used Miles and Cash for airfare so plane was $392.00 (plus 22,000 miles), hotel was $1350.00 but I used Disney Visa Reward points so it was only $161.00/ Rented a car for $158.00. Bought 4 day tickets and 2 day Universal Tickets total about $1200.00. (daughter bought one day express pass for Universal as my mother's day present). Plus food (we don't do dining plan). Ate at Boma and rest was counter service, I think about $600.00 for food. So total for 5 nights at POFQ (4 full days in parks and two 3/4 days as the two 3/4 days were travel days) was: $1703.00. Without the miles and disney points, it would have been about $3,600.00.

My favorite trip was when we had AP's and I used miles for airfare, and disney reward points for the hotel. Cost me just food and car rental. We don't eat that much and what I would spend at home should be deducted from the cost of food . I have done this also when we had 10 day passes that were non expirational so we could use them over the course of 3 years. I have never paid full price for the trips...over 30 of them.

I think the last time we stayed on-site, it was about 5k or so. That would have been during Free Dining and was for 2 adults and 2 teens(adults). Pretty sure that was at POFQ for 9 nights.
