Park hoppers are no use to me. Sometimes to get their money's worth out of them, I think people leave one park too early to get to another. Take your time people, absorb the Disney atmosphere. Unless you're on a very tight time schedule, there's plenty in each park to keep you busy for a full day.
I completely disagree, and find it rather presumptuous to imply that people aren't absorbing the atmosphere or are rushing if they park hop. I have been more than able to complete Animal Kingdom and DHS in a little more than 4 hours...DHS is tricky because of the show schedules...but it can all be done without rushing. And even if if people find it does take a full day...perhaps they don't want to take a full day?
When I went in March, I arrived at DHS around 1pm. I stayed until it closed at 8pm...I then decided to get in a few rides at EPCOT...after Test Track, Mission:SPACE, the Nemo ride and Soarin', I decided that I still wanted more. The Magic Kingdom was open 'til 1am that night for EMH, so I decided to go there and did quite a bit. I never once rushed...mainly because I still had three more days to revisit each of those parks. But my enjoyment was no less than it was when I spent more time in the parks.
Sure, it was a lot of walking and I did a lot of stuff, but I was able to fully experience the parks at my own pace. I always visit each park at least twice on my visits. Since the parks don't all generally close at the same time, the hoppers come in handy when wanting to visit another park after the park you are in is closed. I've never once cut time short in one park because I planned on visiting another park.
But also, I am not one to sit and relax by the pool. I want to be in the parks. Also, keep in mind, the more people go, they may discover attractions they don't like and don't feel the need to experience again...which reduces the time they need to experience any particular park.
