That's the key! I wonder how many people visiting the World are aware of what the show really is, or even that it exists? For example, in the vacation planning guide booklet that Disney sends out, it (along with CBJ and I believe the Tiki Room) was exempted from the map of the MK. It doesn't help that it has minimal signage and is located in the quiet corner of Tomorrowland. Disney have done a pretty good job of hiding this gem of old-school WDW.
You are so right! We were in MK on Christmas Eve, and by 2 pm we had done everything we planned to do and were awaiting our 3:45 Crystal Palace reservation. We rode the TTA, then came upon the CoP. We had no idea if it was a show, a ride, etc. We had the time, so we went in. I'm glad we did it, but agree that it is definitley a "once a trip-er", not something we would do again and again, like HM or PotC.
