How Long Is Too Long?

I guess I'm in the minority here, but 5 or maybe 6 days is all I like, because I like the feeling that I didn't get it all in and I need to return.

The normal Disney vacation from the UK is 2 weeks. Any less would be a waste of time with the long (9hr) flights and time difference!

I could probably double that and take things REALLY easy :)

I would not be any longer than two weeks. Last time I spent more than 6 days in Disney was in 93 and that was 10 days. My goal in the next few years is to spend 10 days at the parks but that all depends on my DVC points and that I have been borrowing for a while now so I dont have enough.

We stayed for 2 solid weeks on our last trip; long enough to catch the last Halloween party in the MK and the first Christmas party. Even with 2 weeks, we still didn't get to do everything WDW has to offer!

Always wondered how many people have done this!

This year we are staying for oue longest at 14 days. Prior to that is was 11 days. I'm not ready to go home at 11 days but then again I am not as enthused to keep seeing attractions I have ridden so many times. The last time it was our last day and we couldn't get out of th epark because we had so many FPs and the lines were short and we kept walking right onto rides and finally we said enough let's just go.

If it's strictly WDW, I'd say 2 1/2 to 3 weeks in order to do enjoy everything the World has to offer at a leisurely pace. If we're going offsite as well, I'd say a solid month. Oh, and I'd do it in November when the weather's great and the Christmas decorations go up!

That's what I'm thinking too. A solid month would allow me to really enjoy several on-property resorts I've not stayed in, check out a golf course or two, spend a LOT of time enjoying the subtle minor details in all the theme parks (which we too frequently blow right past), take in a new restaurant almost every day, pick out a perfect day for water sports, pick out another perfect day just for picture-taking, spend a couple of days at Universal, one at Sea World, one at Kennedy Space Center...
and I'm sure I'm missing about 10 things I haven't thought of. And I absolutely agree with your November call!

I could probably do 2 weeks while going to the parks every other day. I couldn't hit the parks everyday for 14 days that'd be insane...in between park days I would hang at the pool...do the waterparks...shop...skip out of the resort and go to the beach etc...

I have stayed two or three times for fifteen days. Two weeks seems like two years when the weather is bad. Even with good weather, I burn-out a little on the manufactured atmosphere that Disney provides after two weeks of constant merriment. We usually go for one day trips, and that is too short. So...somewhere between two days and fourteen days is just about right.

If It had to be one trip I would say a month. Time to really slow down and enjoy some of the other things, like the spa, some of the tours. I would also try to hit some of the other area attractions that I never head off property. I would maybe split the stay up to 3 or 4 of the hotels.

If it could be more then one trip I thinkI would do two 2 week vacations. In different seasons.

I'd say six weeks, in all honesty, I think it'd give ample time to explore every nook and cranny and try every restaurant. I also think I'd be pretty tired of Carousel of Progress by then as well, so my girlfriend would probably be happy about that.

I would probably have to say 2-3 weeks...We have stayed there about 9 days before and it was great but wanted a day or two longer. This of course if we only go once a year. Now give me the option to go more than jut once in a year and it may be a whole other story entirely.

Mostly all of our stays at WDW have been 2 weeks. We always purchase park hopper passes so we can visit more than 1 park a day. During our trips we manage to get to each park multiple times which gives us the time to get onto any ride we want (using fastpasses and EMH). During that time we eat at many of our favorite restaurants, do a tour or something else special and catch a show at Cirque du Soleil. We fit it all in without feeling rushed. Two weeks is good but I think a third week would allow us to do other things off property.

I think I would buy a one way ticket ( I know, it doesn´t exist!! :lookaroun) and wait to see how long it takes till I´m fed up with WDW. I don´t think I can say a sapecific amount of time... I`d just have to wait and see

The longest my family stayed in Disney was 17 days. We had planned to stay only 2 weeks but somehow our kids convinced us to add a few more days. We really explored everything that Disney has to offer (hotel hopping, water parks, miniture golf, DTD, etc.) but towards the end of our stay we were ready to go home. I wouldn't stay longer than 2 weeks again. It is just the right amount of time for us.

For me, it would have to be long enough to spend a couple nights staying at each resort, to have time to really explore them and eat in the restaurants. And Long enough to eat everywhere i want to eat, sometimes twice. That time would give me enough time to explore the rest of the resort at my leisure. I'm guessing six weeks might do it. Maybe 8...
