How late can you make reservations to WDW.

We are planning a trip to WDW Coronado Springs for July 19-25. We have been to WDW 3 time and I have always made our reservations months in advance. I just found out that I am going to be getting a descent bonus that will pay for the trip. The only problem is the bonus won't be here until the first of the month. That may leave us with 2 to 3 weeks to make reservations. Does anyone see a problem with this?

Thanks

Until the rooms are all booked. If you wanted a room starting tonight for a week you could get it if theres availability.

Thanks, I guess I am asking if the place ever really fills up?

I think it depends on the time, whats going on and the resort it self....we have made reservations a few weeks and had no problem and at the same time have tried and had troubles....so it just all depends i believe.

It probably depends on the resort. With all the discounts being offered, it might be a little tougher. If you don't have any specific resort in mind then you should be able to book something.

When we drove down last summer, we planned to stop over around Gainesville and drive the rest in the morning. We made great time, stopping for dinner shortly after entering Florida. I knew we could get the rest of the way at a decent hour, so I excused myself and called to reserve a room for that night at an All Star. Came backe and surprised the kids, "we're going to WDW tonight!"

Also if you want to book now all reservations need to be paid 45 days prior to arrival.

Five yrs ago we had something simialr happen to us, I was waiting for a check to arrive, of course I was calling WDW to book a package, and I was like at the 43 day window, so I hung up disappointed that I could not get what I wanted, do you know that the reservationist called me back and said instead of booking the package, just book the room and the I can pay for dining & parks tickets when I arrive, so I was able to put the room on my CC since it was not alot, a few days later my check came in, paid my room charge off on my CC & then had the money for Dining & park tickets when we arrived. hope this helps.

You can always call and say, "What have you got available for xxxx dates at a (Value/Moderate/Deluxe) resort?

Have fun.
:)

I must have just recieved bad service. I called Disney and was told they could not tell me this without making a reservation. I will give it another try.

Is this the policy for packages only? When I went in March, I booked room only (there was a room-only special rate being offered) three weeks before my planned trip and only was required to pay for one night and was told the balance was due at check-in. Because I was paying Value rates during peak season, I just paid it off all at once, but was only required to put down 1 nights payment.

Yeah, the 45 day rule is only for people with packages.

This is what had happened to us 5 yrs ago, and since I was doing a package I believe it was becasue of that, but policy could have changed, becasue if you saw we ended up just doing the room and we were told on the phone that we had to pay for the room for 10 days of our stay. In your case it sounds better, at least Disney said 1 night, pay for remaining when you arrive, so how I take that is disney wanted to get you there and wanted to work something out.

I hope for the OP that they are able to find a deal to at least get them there. Do not want to see anyone not experiance the Magic.

If you book a room only reservation, you are required to pay an upfront deposit equal to one nights stay. The rest of the total is not due until checkin. I have been booking room only reservations forever (never done a package) and the policy hasn't changed.

BTW, last trip was about a month ago.
