How is the Garden Grille at Epcot???

Good not great. It's kind of cool to sit in a rotating restaurant, but IMHO it's a waste of time and money to eat anywhere in Future World when there are so many great options in World Showcase.

For my family, the great character interaction is the draw for the Garden Grill. We thought the food used to be good, but it has gone way down hill. We could barely eat anything there this summer, and our kids ate nothing...we had to get them chicken nuggets when we got back to the resort because they were starving!

However, every time we've been there we have had AMAZING character interaction. Every time the characters come to our table twice...we've never had that happen at any other character meal. They sit down with the kids, draw on their menus, play with them, etc..

I am sad that we find the food inedible now. As much as we love the characters, I don't think we will be going back unless they do a menu change.:(

There last December and had a great meal. Chip and Dale were great. Food was good - 3 adults and nothing left.

Tend to eat there every other year and the only thing wrong with the grill is that it went to a fixed menu several years ago.

Good basic food - similar to Liberty Tree Tavern.

Go for it.

If disappointed - go to the food court below the Grill and grab some fast food.:xmas::xmas::xmas:

Exactly very similar to LTT the attraction is that the restaurant slowly revolves and they still have characters.

This ranks up there as my favorite character meal. The food is pretty good and offers a decent variety for an all you can eat. The rotating restaurant offers nice views of the attraction with is a treat.

I think I wrote about this in another thread somewhere but oh well.

Garden Grill is one of our absolute favorites in WDW. DH and I went at the very end of the night, practically had the place to ourselves. Had major quality time with the characters (Dale kept trying to steal me away from my hubby) which was fun.

But we thought the food was delicious too! Array of meats and sides- I believe that at least the veggies they serve were grown right there in EPCOT. And it's family style- they'll keep bringing out more if you want it. DH & I are both not adventerous eaters- we prefer meals that are closer to "home cooking" than a lot of what world showcase offers.

One thing I would say- if you do go- take a walk around the entire restaurant and look at all the scenes. When we were eating we didn't get to pay that much attention to them, especially on the 2nd floor- but they're really cool!

We have eaten there once in June of 2006 & we really enjoyed it.
The atmosphere was nice & the characters were great!
The kids really enjoyed the sundae at the end of the meal.
It is a nice touch that the restaurant actually slowly revolves while you eat!

The food wont blow you away but it was real tasty and the characters are BRILLIANT :sohappy:

PS. Ask the Cast member to show you the hidden Mickey in the mural in the restaurant, so so hard to spot :sohappy:

We were there in early August. Had a great visit. We thought the food was very good. No, it wasn't Victoria and Alberts and it certainly isn't as differently adventurous as the World Showcase restaurants - it is simply very well done American farmhouse style food. Reminded me of Sunday dinner at my grandmother's, oh so many years ago. The interaction with characters was most excellent. Our DD (6) really had a great time with Chip and Dale and she also loved being able to walk up the railing and see the different Living with the Land scenes.

excellent food! and chip and dale are hilarious characters in the restaurant! make sure chip and dale supply your kids with unlimited packs of sugar (they have been known to do this)

Worst meal ever (in or out of Disney)!! Characters were good but I wouldn't go back there if they paid me to go. The food was incredibly bad. All 6 of left hungry. Pick some place else!

It is hit or miss

I have eaten there maybe 4 or 5 times.

The marinated flank steak is one of my youngest daughters favorite dishes. (That kid would drink liquid smoke if I let her). However there have been times when we were there, she was excited to eat, took a bite, and then said "Dad, this is not the same food". She was right. Sometimes the food is just plain bland and overcooked. Sometimes it is very good. So much so that a 7 year old can tell the difference.

Characters have always been good. Food is good about 80% to 90% of the time, by my experience.

one of worse meals of the week. i use a ecv and was not told of steps up to upper level. could not get a chair to wait for ecv. chair would be too much in way but all i could get from staff was getting your cart, do not go down. then at table, they sat 11 at 2 tables for 8. will not be returning.

went in 2008, food was great, especially the honey butter they serve with the bread. i enjoyed being able to get more food since its served family style. the characters stayed at the table for a decent amount of time (we are 2 adults so its nice to get some attention from the characters since they mainly go towards the kids). i would def. go back!
