Not a cast member, buuuut...
I wonder what happened to all the instructors and counselors and whatnot that used to work at the Disney Institute. I wonder if they got placed into other programs or if without the Institute, the need just isn't there any more... Maybe a science teacher could find some sort of place in Animal Kingdom or Rafiki's Planet Watch? I'm stretching here....
Good suggestions. Thanks! I went to their casting site but did not see anything for educators, etc. I have other talents (very good with computers) but no degree in that field. One day, I'll get to be a real CM! I think I'm just gonna apply and see what happens.

If we don't stop at South of the Border....or for gas....or food....

We've gone 2 times in the past 3 years, but now we're going to go once a year...only 16 more days til we leave!!!

We have to stop at South of the Border. :sohappy:

This thread depressed me as I found out, I live 1200+ miles for door to door. I get there about every 2 years but look to improve that to once a year. Next trip is next year but I would be even more depressed if I started counting the days. I envy those who live so close to Disney.

Like others, I have considered moving closer. Even perhaps work for WDW. My wife and I always said if we would to relocate, it would be to Disney. Are there any openings for a manager in computers within WDW? What areas are good to buy a home within a 30-minute drive to Disney?

2667 miles to WDW. Before I lived here it was 630, 1181, 450, 1058, and 860 miles working backwards over my life and where I have lived. Family did the 860 mile trip on an average of once a year for about 15 years. Did the 1058 trip once and the 630 mile trip twice and got about 3 other trips to Disney as well.

And now I am currently 221 miles from Disneyland, haven;t been yet, but plan on going and will be purchasing an annual passport for multiple trips a year hopefully.

Hmm, well...we live in Miami so it's about 250 miles (this I remember from all those signs we see "Orlando-250 miles"). It takes us at least 3-3.5 hours to get up there...longer if we stop at one of the plazas. We used to go a lot when we had season passes. 2002 we hit a new high with like 5 trips. But last year was the first time my family didn't all go together. My brother went for New Year's with some cousins, I went the weekend before Christmas with my cousins, and my sister went to L.A. and Disneyland with her godfather. This year however, we will try to go in November, and we will try to get season passes again, or just get the Play 4 Days passes.

Iy is 1452 miles from door to door according to mapquest. I only get to go every 2 years(and that is no where near enough :brick:)

But being on a tight budget, it takes me that long to save the price of the trip and spending cash.

Can't wait to get there this Jan.:)

I think Turkey wins being only 7.5 miles away. But then again, for those that live in Celebration, isn't that techincally on WDW property, so therefore a 0 mile drive because you're already there? GRR...I wish I lived in Celebration right now and didn't have to wait another year. Spring/Summer 05 I'll have my place there! :sohappy:

about 80 miles ( or about 1.5 hours drive depending on traffic on I-4)

since moving to FL, a few times a year either for the weekend or just a day trip. Though we haven't gone yet this year.
