How early to book?

We are thinking of heading down to WDW in early December 2009. Is it too early to book or do better deals come out in the summer? I know it is tough to say, but I was wondering what most people do.

We would like to stay at the Poly and can get the AAA discount.

I'd go ahead and book. You can always change the reservation to any deal that comes out if there it's available at your resort. I recommend using Kingdom Konsultants (sponsor here). They will watch for deals and rebook for you if possible.

Yea you can book. We booked early for our last trip and ended up having to cancel a reservation and rebooking to get the free dining. It wasnt really that big a deal

I would tell you to contact Kingdom Konsultants and let them book the trip for you. They will often times find discounts you won't. If a better deal comes out later, they will automatically rebook your trip and give you a call to notify you of the savings. It is absolutely the easiest way to book a Disney trip.

BTW, you will not be charged any kind of additional fee for their services.

Yes, what they said!

And do know that there is no charge for KK to do your booking. You do your arrangements with real people, that you can always reach and you will deal with the same team member. They can help with any and all details of your trip, from dining to special events.

I'm a seasoned traveller, but always use Pam or one of her associates, just so I don't have to keep track of the multitude of changing options.

I would urge you to book now. If a deal comes up, you can always change it to the better deal. I originally booked my Feb. 1 stay with a AAA discount; when we were there in December, we purchased annual passes, so after I got home, I called and asked about AP room discounts and saved $250 for the 5 nights. Since I was paid in full, Disney credited my credit card.

annaul pass room discounts

Are there always annual pass room discounts? If so, is there a website that explains which hotels and how much?

Thanks

I know its a bit different for us as we're travelling from the UK but we booked a package to Disney last July for April 2009

Out of curiosity I checked online in January to see if it was still a similar price and found it was £800 less for the two of us. The holiday company refused point blank to reduce our price- its nice to know our continued custom is appreciated! We finally cancelled our holiday and re-booked, and although we lost our deposit we are still £500 in pocket.
