On the wings of Delta Airlines

We fly, as this is the only way to travel on a family vacation, I would not enjoy driving 8 to 12 hours to get to the happiest place on earth. And then again if the car broke down permenantly once we got to Disney World, we would never have to leave (hmmm) maybe we should drive (mweehahaha!!!).:hammer: :hammer: :hammer:

Driving is more fun, I think. It's also cheaper than flying. It takes about 10 and a half hours from New Orleans. The anticipation factor is much greater because it's constantly building from the time you leave. So driving is the way to go. for me anyway.

Fly fly fly!!!

Any drive over 4 hours is too long. Vacation time is too short to waste on driving. Plus, I have a large amount of frequent-flyer miles... Now, if only they hadn't stopped having direct flights to MCO from IAD or DCA that you could upgrade your seat on....

I usually fly. I have experimented in the past and drove from the DC area. We were all worn out when we got there.

I also took Amtrak from DC. The train ride is worse than driving. I had no sleep and the bathrooms in coach became disgusting quickly. The train makes many stops too. Got into Orlando around 7 AM and was at WDW around 10 AM. All day long it felt like I was still on the train. I had the feeling that I was moving from side to side. My parents, sister, and uncle all had the same feeling! We all kept grabbing the hand rails in the queue lines because it felt like we were going to fall down.

For the 10 times I have been there, I flew 7 times. Nothing is better than taking a early flight, getting to WDW before noon, and enjoying the rest of the day at a park and not being so tired from traveling.

They are so close-minded and in their thinking. They are way behind and refuse to open their minds to new ideas, technology, thinking. Most of the people anyway, we have a very few who are up on the times. That's enough complaining, I guess. Can you tell I'm fed up??

2 much I can soooooo relate to you on these points! I envy your move, I'd love to do the same thing! Congrats to you and your family!

The majority of times that we have gone to florida, we usually fly. Since we come from New York we just find flying easier. We have driven before, but it takes about a whole day to get there if you travel nonstop, but we usually stop in S. Carolina to rest up a bit before getting to the World.

Although I love a good road trip I absoulutely could not tolerate a 24 hour car trip from Long Island. Even though air travel can be a pain in the , there is something about the excitement of rushing to the airport. It reallys gets me excited for the trip.:p

Used to fly but now drive the 750 miles due to unacceptable treatment by the airlines. You will note that is a recurrent theme of mine. I hate the airlines.

I am rejoicing at United's woes. I hope they all go bankrupt!!!! I will dance on their graves.

I can't hear you I'm partying so hard because United went bankrupt. Speak up a little.

...twisting and shouting ...

Actually, I'm hoping the shake up will lead to better air travel all around.

I just hop on good old I-4 and take a short 45 minute trip to the Vacation Kingdom of the World! Then, it is only a short trip back that same day. Of course, we do stay over a lot and are DVC members.
