How do you get from Disney Resorts to Disney Parks?

Do you prefer Disney Bus/Monorail or a car?

We have found that when the kids are small, it's a lil easier if we use a car. No need to wait for buses and always room for the stroller. What is your experience?

we car it, except on our last trip when we stayed at the Dolphin and used the boat for MGM and Epcot. We can't stand the buses.

Depends, if we're at a monorail resort, we take the monorail. If not, depends on how many cars we have. If we only have one, I'll typically take the bus. The busses are nice and all, it's just sometimes you have to wait about 20-30 minutes for one, when I could be getting out of my car at the park in that time.

Depends, We always stay at Epcot resorts so going to Epcot we walk, MK we take the bus, we drive when going to AK, water parks, and down town. We sometimes use the monorail to get back to epcot but that is not the norm.

Good ole', reliable Disney transportation. We've never had a problem with it at all except a couple times leaving a park at the end of the night. We find it extremely relaxing not to have to drive ourselves anywhere our entire vacation!

As soon as we get to the hotel we say goodbye to our car until we leave. We always take the bus, boat, or monorail. Yes, sometimes we have waited over an hour for the Wilderness Lodge boat. And in a bus line that went past 3 other bus stops for Port Orleans Riverside, but we still take Disney transportation all the time. To me, driving the car around at Disney does not seem like a vacation, especially when you get into your smoldering hot car when it is time to leave.

WDW transportation. When I am on vacation the last thing I want to be doing is driving back and forth from the resort to the parks. Yes, I have also waited 20 min, at most, for transportation but I am on vacation. Unless it is a dinner reservation I am trying to get to I am not in a rush.

99.9% of the time my wife and I use some form of Disney transportation to get from the Disney Resort we are staying at to the parks and even other resorts. Never had much of a problem with it. A few long waits in the 7 or so years we've been going but nothing really to complain about.

We use Disney Transport. The only time we don't is when we go to a restaurant for dinner, then pretty much every night we use a car. We eat dinners at all the different resorts, so it'd be very hard and not to mention time consuming to go to DTD, transfer buses, just to get to dinner. Other than that, we park hop all using disney transportation, and from the resorts to parks, it's always buses.

Disney Transportation for sure; once the car is parked, it's on vacation too. We enjoy the different modes of getting around Walt Disney's World.

Disney transportation with out a doubt

When me and my GF stayed at the WL last year (our first time on property) we used boats, buses and monorail and didnt have one problem.

It just makes everything seem that little bit more detatched from the real world if ya dont have to get in your car until its time to leave.

We started coming to WDW in 97 when our sons were 4 and 2, never really had a problem. Except when the group of teen dancers held up the bus at All Star one morning when the DW and I took a few days by ourselves, they could not all get to the bus stop at the same time and when most of them finally showed up it gave us both a headache, all those different perFUMES, ACK!!! :hurl: Outside of that, it's always been one of the best parts of WDW, never have to worry about how I'm going to get there.

we use the Disney Transportation too. To me it's part of the experience. I am on vacation and do not want to fight anything but the foot traffic.

It is usually split between the two. The last couple of trips we have stayed at the CBR. We found that it is definatley faster to take the bus to MK becasue you do not have to transfer to the Monorail/Ferry. To MGM, AK, and Epcot, it was always faster to get there using your own car.
We did have little ones, so our own car was easier with strollers and such, plus we don't mind driving at all.
