Good Morning Everyone..Hope Ya'All had a happy July 4th..Last night I had my small, and it was small as only 6 people turned up,at my Disney party.Anyway we had a great night with stories and looking at photos and of course a few drinks..One couple who have been twice to WDW ( 14 day vacations ) and are booked for 2014 amazed me by missing out on The Festival of the Lion King at AK.. ...I honestly think its the best live show at WDW..Then it got worse,my neighbours who went last year for the first time and stayed on site for a 14 day vacation missed out on POTC at MK...They also have 3 kids who would have loved that ride..How the heck did they miss that. So to my question..Did you ever come back from a Disney trip and miss out on a major attraction ? Maybe on your first visit.o_O

I've never missed a major attraction except if it was closed for rehab. But all 4 parks and DTD even with 14 days is not enough to do everything. M&Gs, dining places etc. You just can't do everything in one trip. With 14 days missing a major attraction is just lack of planning, or maybe they weren't interestedo_O

Evening Hatter. I was only 5 months old my first visit, and by that time it was my mom's 11th visit and my dad's something-ith visit, so nothing we really missed. On shorter side trips after South Carolina, we'll sometimes skip DHS, though in 2011 my brother and I insisted for obvious reasons;) . Also, it took til trip 41 for me to get to Typhoon Lagoon and trip 42 to Disneyquest.

I have friends who went to AK on their first trip and didn't get out of Camp Minnie Mickey.o_O The second time they came with us and were amazed at how much more there was to that park. They said they had a much better time with us on trip number two because we've been so many times we know what we're doing.

See this is it..Life is like the Lion King...The circle of life...When your a baby and visit WDW,it's all colours and music, then when your a toddler,it's characters & small world stuff. Then when your a teenager it's thrill rides and bopping to live music in front of Mickeys hat at HS..But when you get to my age,you appreciate the finer things in life, and what goes into the Festival to make it such a professional show..I know,I'am beginning to sound like a philosopher.Maybe I see it different because I'am in the music business..;)

so believe it or not on our first trip last year (being new to the whole Disney bubble and it being a very last minute holiday) we manged to miss:
-Soarin
-Test Track (as it wasn't open)
-Peter Pan
-its a small world
-POTC
-Mission Space
-Malestrom
-Jungle cruise
-Journey in imagination
-illuminations at epcot
and at UNI we missed SpiderMan

and possibly one or two more, we just enjoyed the atmosphere of the whole place and got swept up in the moment i guess.

believe it or not we were there for 3 weeks, i think the fact we missed so much was we were a bit overwhelmed to 1- be in Disney world (somewhere me and my partner have always wanted to go, but never have as children) and 2- the fact we were in USA. so this time in September we have made a list of "must do's" to make sure we get everything done this time round, A LOT MORE organised.
there is so much in Orlando to do we just couldn't quite believe exactly how much there was.

Being overwhelmed in Disney can definitely happen.
