Hey, we're planning on eating breakfast at the Crystal Palace the day we arrive. We've never done the breakfast thing, wanted to know how early they let you in to the park and if we could check in to the hotel before going?

Thanks in advance!

Yes on both accounts. You can check into your resort early and you will be allowed into MK prior to opening providing that you have an ADR at CP that is before 9 AM.

It would be great if EMH were not on that day. That way we could take some pics in front of the castle with nobody else around!

This is our tradition on our first full day at Disney. 8:05 ADR at Crystal Palace. Get into the park about 10-15 minutes before 8:00, slow walk down Main Street, take a few pics of the castle with no one around and then head over to the CP for our meal. It is also nice if you finish breakfast before 9;00, then you can have a bit of a head start on most guests and get in line for your first ride before anyone else.

SWEEEET!!! (WDWMazprty is my DH) I think that'll be a great idea!

So even if its early, around 7AM, we can check into the hotel, leave our bags, get tickets and head to park for our ADR's?

This is a great plan! We did this for the first time last summer, but at CRT. It was so nice walking down main street w/nobody there. We didn't get done in time to beat the 9:00 AM crowd, but that was our intention. We're going to try to eat faster this year. :)

So, if you have an ADR for 8:00 am, when do they actually let you in to the park?
I am not sure what the official window is but I am 99% sure that you can get in at least 30 minutes before your ADR. What you will do is go to the turnstiles on the far right. A cast member will check to see that your name is on the list and he/she will let you into the park.

Yes. I have checked in a early as 6:00 am. From my understating the earliest official time you can check in is at 7:00 AM but if all the nightly reports are finished and the system is up an running the resorts will let you check in earlier.

Early resort check in

A couple of years ago we were at the world and were staying the first night at an All Star resort before moving to our DVC resort the next day. That night my wife had to take my youngest to the ER and when she left the ER she went over to the Beach Club to see if she could check into our room. Not only did they let her check in (5:30am) but they gave her our room, my wife and youngest son were in room sleeping by 9 am. This I'm sure is not normal and they may have felt pity on her for being in the ER all night with a 1yr old but we thought it was extremely cool not to mention very nice.

I have a question here...my first post, wow. We have a 8:25 ADR at Crystal Palace on Thursday. We're staying at Fort Wilderness. Does anybody know what time the boats start from FW? Or should we plan on driving into MK?

Good question.... from what I know (and this could be wrong) Disney Transporatation starts about an hour before all parks open. So if MK opens at 9, transportation will start at 8. However, I'm not sure if 25 min will be enough to get from FW to MK and be at Crystal Palace in time. So you might want to take your own car for that day.
Again... I could be wrong...

This is a very good point.
I believe that the monorail starts up at around 7:30 or so on non morning EMH days but I'm unsure of the buses or boats in the Epcot resort area.
Anyone know? I'm curious too now!

Thank you for your help. I think we will definitely plan on driving into the park. No way will I take any chances. I can't believe we're leaving tomorrow, yipee!:sohappy:
