Soooo, I had to stop in at work today (usually I'm off on Fridays) for a state inspection of my clinic. While there I got an email from my boss, about a salary adjustment for the PT that works with me. I called to ask him a question about her, and come to find out, I had also received a salary adjustment in the form of an 8% raise! :sohappy: It will be in my next paycheck. My boss is like, I didn't tell you? Really? I'm like, uh I think I would remember if you told me I was getting a raise!!

Now I'm trying to talk DH into changing our ressie from garden view to MK view at the Poly for next Christmas.... :lookaroun

I have never been stuck on the runway, and if I ever were I'd probably freak out.
I get panicky on planes...I'm claustrophobic. I'm fine once we're in the air (I don't know what difference that makes!) but while we're still on the ground, it's all I can do to stop myself from running madly down the aisle. If I had to stay there for an extended length of time...no doubt, I'd lose it!
We've been stuck on the runway a couple of times - once when the kids were very young, and once when Dave & I were escaping for a weekend.

Me, too. Everytime we fly, I'm so happy when we're in the air b/c it means we're not stuck on the ground. :shrug: Weird, I know.

Go Giants!!!:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

Go Patriots!! :sohappy: :sohappy:

It makes no sense at all, but I guess it's better than freaking out the whole trip.
On our last trip home, as we boarded I was fine. Wasn't even thinking about it. Then the guy in front of me told the flight attendant he needed an aisle seat because he was claustrophobic. It was like getting slammed with a giant wave. As soon as I heard him say that I reached for my seat belt and was ready to run. I managed to talk myself down, but it was scary for a few minutes.

One weird thing that I've noticed about flying, is having to worry about the kids has taken a lot of my "flying anxiety" away. I'm more worried about keeping them occupied than I am about myself. :shrug:

Sure, they're a distraction. As soon as I feel a panic attack coming on, I look for a distraction. On a plane, I'll ask George to talk to me...about something pleasant. By focusing on what he's saying and then answering him, I take my mind away from the panic. I taught myself that....after a few very unpleasant attacks.
