Hopper Ticket info!!!

Hey there all!!! I Spoke to Disney today as I had to order tickets for my family for our up and coming vacation in October. Well apparently, the 4 and 5 day hopper passes no longer qualify for the Disney Club Discount. Once you start getting into the Park Hopper plus tickets, then a discount would apply. And I joined the Disney Club why?? Also please note that the cost for the processing of tickets is $3.00 regardless of the number of passes ordered so dont order one here and one there. It will be cheaper to just order all tickets needed together! Hope this helps!! Belle

Jeez this is crappy. My family joined the disney club mainly for the tickets (there are 7 of us). My parents are gonna be mad when we go to buy tickets for our next trip and no discount comes up.

The Kindgom Konsultant price is really low so go with that if you can, but AAA offers a very modest discount for the 4 day hopper and you avoid paying shipping fees. It is currently 199 for a 4 day adult hopper.

Geeze I wonder when they started this? Thats pretty bad because that was one of the main reasons we have stayed on as a DCM..since it was Magic Kingdom Club. Over the years they have slowly removed the perks...for example they no longer give you travel bag my girls love using the MKC bags for their own travel bags..to hold Barbies, books etc. Next thing you know they will stop the 10% discount on store/catalog purchases, or charge you extra for the magazine! I am going to ask tonight at the store if there is a specific reason why they are stopping the discount on the hopper passes. We never get the park hopper plus passes as we are more into the parks than we are into the water parks. Hmmm maybe if enough people contact them and complain they will bring it back!

You really do not get very much at all with the DCC any more. I had a customer call me the other day very upset because she had heard that they were going to be fazing out the DCC.

We pretty much just kept it from when it was MKC for the magazine, the 10% discount and the park pass discount. Lately we have done better with discount codes from the internet for the resorts. But I am a big Disney shopper...Just spent $100 tonight using my discount, a $10 coupon and a $10 giftcard. But I had 3 girls who were picking out Halloween (dressup) outfits so I did ok. So I almost always end up getting my fee back in the discount...not to mention the savings I get at the Disney Outlet in Missouri...still would be nice if they would at least give a heads up warning to their longtime customers!

That is pretty much the only thing that I use mine for anymore
(shopping). I get my tickets through Maple Leaf. I agree about with you about getting a better deal with the discount codes. I already did the Halloween thing here. LOL! Just as soon as the costumes come out, my daughter always gets excited. You are so LUCKY! I WISH we had an outlet near here!

My customer called the Disney Club and asked them flat out if they were getting rid of the card and they told her to contact Guest services because she would not discuss it with her. She had just renewed her card and wanted to cancel it. She ended up getting a BIG runaround!

You're right that the Disney Club discount is no longer valid on the 4 and 5 day hopper passes. What Disney has done is made it cheaper to buy your tickets in advance at your local Disney Store. Remember that tickets used to be the same price whether you bought them at the store before your trip or if you bought them at the gate when you got there. This is no longer the case. It is now cheaper to purchase in advance--cutting down on lines at the resort. Before anyone asks, I don't have the prices with me right now. I'd have to go into the store and copy them down.

Long Live My Premuim Annual Pass - at least I always get my money out of it, and then a whole lot more. After 8 short days at any park, I am literally going for free and I do not pay for parking or waste a day if I only go for a few hours.


Speaking on which, I met some guys from Singapore the last time I was at the MK. They had actually bought annual passes for their 8 day stay because they were cheaper than the park hoppers and included parking (they were staying off site).

We are planning our trip for next year and even if we drive down we know we will have 10days at the resort..so we are getting the ap's...then hopefully we will get some good rates on resort prices....either w/Kingdom consultants or mousesavers or just using the ap discount...! By the way, we always bought our park hopper passes at the disney stores before going and used our DC Card discount.

Hey, just an advice. Start calling already to try and get a good rate at the on-property hotels. Tell them you are an AP holder, and if there are any discounts for AP holders. Then, before you check in, go buy your passes so you can show them when you do check-in. Just an FYI.

Ticket Prices

Go to the Disney Store and buy your tickets they're cheaper than waiting til you get to Fla. or buying on line. The DC discount is gone but the Disney Stores everywhere except Fla. didn't get the price increase. The DC is being totally discoutinued in Dec.2003.
