Ok, I just got engaged Saturday :sohappy: Yay, i'm so happy lol. Anyway, the wedding date is October 7, 2006...I was wondering what would be a better honeymoon...Disney World, or Disney Cruise? Which has better 'honeymoon' experiences? Thanks everyone!

Congrats on your engagement.. I can't wait til I get engaged! :) Have a great wedding!

Hey hey now everyone. It's all a matter of time. I've got it all planned out to the second it's going to happen (I can't help that I'm a planning freak).

And I'm waiting until I'm done with college until I get married!

By the way, congrats on your engagement Heather and I say go for the 7 days on land and 7 days at sea. I'm planning on a two-week honeymoon! :animwink:

I hope you have a very understanding boss! LOL

Hey, if you can afford it, and you have the vacation time, I say, go for it.

congrats to you on your engagement!!!

my wedding is set for October 8th (lots of Oct. weddings, no? :lookaroun ) we are doing 8 days in WDW because we just to emerse ourselves in The World. i'd say if you want to do something a little different go for the Land and Sea package. i think for our 1 year anniversary we'll either do a cruise or stay at a deluxe resort. the choice is totally yours!

P.S. *definitely* mention that its your honeymoon...we've gotten special attention and haven't even left for the trip yet!

Thanks everyone. You're getting me all excited! lol. Yeah, I've already planned on getting the bride and groom mouse ears, I think they are so cute! I would LOVE to do 7 days at sea, 7 days at WDW, but my fiance's cousin's wedding is 2 weeks after ours and he's in it :( time off wouldn't be a problem because my fiance gets six weeks vacation every year...So I see us going to WDW alot in the future :animwink:
All of you were so helpful! Thanks so much...If you don't mind, what are some ways they make it special if you tell them it's your honeymoon?

We got best table in the house at cindy's breakfast.
The two person table that looks over fantsyland.
That was probably the best thing.
But there are no guarentes that you will get the same thing
We were also given other things but I don't want to ruin any more surprises

That is a good table! We could not get in on our honeymoon but we had it on the trip before that. Just perfect.

As Erika said, you can often get some nice things left in your room, like balloons and a signed picture card (we got one from Belle and Beast for our Anniversary). At Cinderella's castle, while there is no champagne, they do have special toasting glasses they give. Artist Point personalizes the menu and also provided a champagne toast (we're over 21 of course).

As with birthdays, many in the parks will provide free drinks or desserts.

I'm sure others can provide additional updates from other hotels/restaurants.

Thanks for all the help everyone. One more question, has anyone ever taken a train to Disney? We wanted to get there the day after our wedding, but we surely didn't want to leave right after it and drive 12 hours straight...And flying is OUT of the question because no way am I getting on a plane lol. So I was wondering if a train was any good? I dunno, I'm clueless

I would check www.amtrak.com. I took the train down to Macomb (IL) once and if I remember correctly it wasn't much faster than driving. But it is a lot more relaxing!
