Here is a picture of the Cathedral in Mérida, the oldest in America, built between 1561 and 1598.

It´s been said that there are 5 cities in the USA that shouldn´t be missed for their uniqueness and beauty: San Francisco, Boston, New Orleans, NYC and Chicago. I´m missing Chicago... please keep the pictures coming! I´ve heard and seen some pics and it´s beautiful! I´ll get there... someday!:animwink:

Here is one I took....again from the Museum Campus peninsula here in Chicago....but this time looking directly north...the tall black building, closest to the ship, is Lake Pointe Tower...the eastern most tower in the city ....it is the only skyscraper east of lake shore drive....alot of rich folk live there including Sammy Sosa.

The white boat is the Odessey.... I think....it has a twin brother...that has a helipad and chopper on it.

DMC, have you ever done the Oddessy cruise? We did it for post-prom in high school. Beautiful!!

Maria, you really should visit Chicago sometime! I don't get downtown that often (lifelong suburbanite) but it really is worth seeing.

We could do drinks at the top of the John Hancock.....the Signature Room....cocktail lounge....on the 95th floor....:sohappy:

Ive been on the Oddessy a couple of times. It's awesome. Even though I hate boats.

we did the cruise for project graudation! and it was so beautiful seeing the sun come up and lake shore drive being illuminated.....

chicago is the bestest place ever. and even though I am not from there, I will post some pictures too that I have taken over the years

and maybe a few of my hometown and nowtown.
