Hehe not really, it kind of sprawls, but is pretty small. It's the capital city of the province, and has about 30,000 people in it. The entire province has about 150,000 people.

well not really, The picture wasn't uploaded as an attachment. It's off my provinces home page. if you put [.IMG] url to picture [./IMG] (without the . in the front of it. It's loading the pic from another site as opposed to uploading it to this board, and having it load from the board.

To put things into perspective, on the left hand side of the picture in the center, is the south side of the island, the top of the picture is the north side of the island! hehe no a very big place

I went on a field trip today with some family, to the south of my State, Yucatan.
This is a chimney in an hacienda (plantation) used to treat the henequen, a plant that produces natural fiber, which is what you see being dried at the bottom of the pic. Sorry, I don´t know why I decided to take it that way... I don´t like it.

...and this is the "Henequen" plant I was telling you about. I think Brazilians have it there too.
I love those pants... even though I know they are ugly! :animwink:

Yucatan is all limestone with undergound rivers and caves everywhere. That hacienda had one and here is a pic of it.

LOL I know! I wasn´t thinking straight when I bought them, but they were soooo comfy and they seemed to match many of my blouses (of course, with so many different colors in them, it would be hard not to!), that I had to get them...

Maria, that was the football stadium, better known as Death Valley. That's one of the nastiest places to play a college football game, especially on a Saturday night.
