Trip Report Holy Smokes! Let's see how it goes?! *COMPLETED*

Hi Everyone! 🙋‍♀️

Welcome to my modest atempt in writing my very first Trip Report!

It all started when posting on a thread about the new smoking ban inside the parks, and someone (Hi @Lensman !) suggested that I could write about my experience during my next visit to WDW.

This Trip Report will NOT be just about smoking! Although I will be honest about my personal perspective about it during my visit.
(In no way am I endorsing or suggesting that it is advisable to smoke).

As I said before in this forum, I hope that in writing about our trip, not only will I share my little adventure with you, but also hopefuly, be distracted from smoking! 😁

So, if you would like to join me, thank you! I hope you find it at least a bit entertaining

Oh I'm so sorry! That must have been very scary!! My husband was driving to work once when a semi tried to switch lanes and didn't see DH. Fortunately, he only pushed the car to the side of the road, so DH wasn't injured, but very shaken. He called and said "Don't panic, but...." of COURSE I panicked. He was fine, and we just had to get the door replaced....DS thought it would be really cool if it could be replaced by a blue door with flames painted on. 🤣 (he was only 6 or 7)

I'm glad you were able to get there safely in the end, and maybe you can pick up a FP for PP later! Good that Alamo was good about switching cars, too!! What happened that the driver rear-ended you? Was he/she on the phone or something?
Wow! Im very glad that your husband didn't get hurt, specially being hit by a semi! We haven't told anyone at home because we know that they"ll worry. To get those phone calls, right?!

You should have gotten the door with the flames! 😉

OMGosh. So glad it wasn't worse. Take it easy to make sure that you're ok. I agree with Swissmiss, it can show up days later (not that I'm any kind of expert). Keep the ibuprofen handy.
You are both right, will do, thank you!

Smoking related Post:

Stopped by the smoking area at Tomorrowland, behind the restrooms. They used to have tables and chairs which now have been removed.
Talked to a few people, 2 Americans, 2 British and a lady from Canada, they were not happy at all about the upcoming changes.
One was recently caught sneeking on a non designated area, said he will continue to do so!

I almost forgot to tell you, we bought some Nicorette gum, I've never tried it, I'll give it a shot to see if it helps!?
Any thoughts? Thanks!

For me, it can make it bearable, but I still want to smoke. Just make sure you don't chew it like regular gum- you have to chew for a bit and then park it for a while by your gums. It was hard to get used to for me anyway. I went back to smoking within a week, but for you to get through the day in the parks it should work fine.

Thank you for the heads-up, I thought you just chew it like regular gum, haven't read the instructions yet! 😁
I was thinking I might try it on May 1 on

The refillable mugs changed design, there are 2 new options, one is Pixar and the other one a 90th Anniversary Mickey

Ha! Well, our car was bright red, so a blue door would have looked a bit odd, but blue is DS's favorite color. That's why he asked if we could get a blue door.
Well, when you do let your family know, maybe don't start with "Don't panic, but....." because that lets them know there's something to worry about.

You are right!
Thankfully we are feeling much better today, I was worried about Frank because he is the type of guy who doesn't complain, even when he isn't feeling well.
He has a mild type of RA and when he gets stressed, it flares up!
So far, when I ask, he assures me that he is ok :cautious:

Its a beautiful day at Epcot, the park doesn't feel crowded, great weather!

We are still on the Future World side, did Soarin', our only FP for the day. Lunch, finally at a decent time 😄 at Sunshine Seasons.

Right now at DVC Members Lounge, cooling off and just chillin'

Can't wait to see all the flowers and topiaries! I am definitely getting either a margarita or a sake cocktail in Japan :D

Sounds great! My favorite is the Gran Marnier slush in France.
