Just got back from eight days of World Magic, and wow, it was awesome. New Magic bands, the great PORS, FOOD, rides, and more. So let's start the party! Who? The in-laws
Great people, true italian. But lets have a tease of the resort.
Now the winds are starting to pick up, its getting dark, lets hump it to the bus stop before we get soaked. Now its probably around 3:30, and the park was empty. We wanted to see Lion King Festival, but decided against it as the inlaws did not want to have to sit on that steal bench for 45 mins, and I agree, they are uncomfortable on the back. So lets get a few pics on the way out, head home, and get ready for the great Ohana's. Definitely one of our favorites, just so much fun and atmosphere. But on the way out, we checked out Rainforest Cafe outside, never
knew these fountains were here, a really neat looking place,
Now with a little time back at the resort to relax and clean up, it's time for grilled meat! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! But first, I need my monorail fix, so we are going to take the long way, head to EPCOT via bus, grab the monorail to TTC, switch trains, and end up at the Poly. I love the monorail, and noticed the new spiel, not a fan of it, but I love the views you get from the highway in the sky.
The Poly, I love the Poly. It has such a great feel and buzz about it. My inlaws have never been here before and really thought it was a cool place, heck, I think he was ready to transfer rooms until we told him the price. We have some time to waste before dinner, kids want to do some shopping, I want to take pictures, and the wife wants a drink. I think we can accommodate everyone. I'm hungry, and I can see fire grilled meat. Carnivore!
FOOOOOOODDDDDDDDD! And that was a Back Scratcher, a wonderful cocktail. Now that i am relaxed a little bit, it's time for dinner, family style piles of noodles, meats, and vegetables. All so good!
What a meal! Anyway, just got done putting up the Christmas lights, so now I can continue on with this TR that is taking way too long, but it seems they all take too long. More food, and then a preview of the new rooms and buildings, pretty sweet.
Who does'nt love Ohanas bread pudding bananas foster? Pops sure looked happy. Oh, and sorry, the new rooms were later in the trip, so much time since we were there, it sucks!. But anyway, finish up dinner, look around a little bit, grab a taxi, thats right, a taxi, $12 to be home in 5 minutes, this would become a new theme for us. Bed time, and our first visit to Sea World! A non Disney place? Are we Really doing this? Yup!
Now I have been to Sea World in Ohio, which is now long gone, so I expect a lot of fish and whales, but surprisingly got a lot more. We missed a lot of things, but got the big things in. It's no WDW, but it is an attempt at creating something. Not very crowded, and the cast members or what ever they call them, not so much pleasant or present. We still had fun, and had to hit the big rides, and a wow factor for them. Too bad Kraken was closed all day, and even after they made me get a locker, and then said "sorry, ride closed" but you just made me rent a locker? Too bad dumb . On with the pics with little to say, or so I think so right now.
what a great show! It was hot, 90 something that day, and sitting in those bleachers only made it hotter, luckily though I had a nice cold beer. I felt like I was at a football game because the stadium had food stalls like a stadium, kind of weird, this is where the theming goes a bit off, but oh well, still very cool show.
Time for whales. Somewhere here at Sea world we hit Manta, and what a ride. Lying down and whizzing through the air, really awesome, it's such a mind boggling attraction, we did not know if we were going up or down at one point, and then at the end, just hanging there looking down and saying "can we please get back up-right?" in our heads. It was awesome though.
Now my daughter Taylor was really excited to ride the Shamu coaster, a great little area for young kids, and a cool little coaster, makes me smile as I write this, because it made her laugh..
Watching the sea lion feeding was awesome, these creatures could catch anything. we stayed for a good while, betting on which one would catch the fish. Everybody had a great time here. Those sea lions were every where, jumping up here, diving there, it was really cool to see.
