Mission To Mars
Tower of Terror (Disney Channel)
Pirates of the Caribbean x 5
Country Bears
Haunted Mansion
Tommorowland
Jungle Cruise

Am I missing any? (I'm not counting the Muppet Haunted Mansion thing)
Mission To Mars , the ride, came after the movie.

I once saw Iger walking around DHS during park hours almost, but, not quite, like any guest, can you imagine Chapek doing the same?
Lol actually yeah and he has. He was at EPCOT for Oct 1 heading through the turnstiles pretty much on his own. He then met someone and just walked through the park to Space 220. He isn't a stranger to the parks and being there on the ground.

Frankly I don't even know if it makes sense since they rethemed the one in Cali. So only Paris and Florida would fit the bill. Unless they'll do the story of hotel Hightower? That would be interesting if done right.
We don't know the plot of ScarJo's ToT movie yet. But you can bet your life that they will retheme the attraction to it, since it allows them to drop the 'Twilight Zone' and therefore end any money going to CBS.

Star Wars has 8 movies and 8 D+ series "in the works". Let's just say I'm skeptical about any of the former actually seeing a movie screen, and half of the latter seeing D+ before 2024 (Obi-Wan and Mando S3 being the obvious guarantees in that group). Rian Johnson should never see another SW script as long as he lives. His plot and logic holes were so bad that even Lucas facepalmed.

There were significant changes to Genie / monetized FP plans between the Iger and Chapek eras.
I have no belief that the current mess was the brainchild of chapek between iger’s retirement (also known as “plague day”) and September 2021.

It was already “in development”…and the park rot/forced “demand” was all on Bob 1. You add almost zero seat/attraction capacity while your attendance went up 20-25% during your tenure and it’s on you, Bub. They also jacked the price of tickets to make them somekind of “coveted commodity”…instead of cost covering to sell higher profit products…which is how the place worked for decades prior.

I heard an interesting take on the genie/crowd problem from an Ops person I trust just the other day. I’m ashamed I didn’t connect all the dots myself. The problem in the parks is actually park hopping. It’s enlightening.

Because they cannot account for the number of people who will choose to park hop on any given day, thus potentially throwing their carefully controlled staffing levels into disarray because they could have too many staff somewhere and too few staff elsewhere?

It seems pretty certain for 2022, we already had Boba Fett, and there will be:
  • Obi-Wan
  • Andor
  • Mando3
  • And, very likely, a Bad Batch second season.

For next year:
  • Ahsoka
  • Lando
  • The Acolyte
  • Rangers?
  • A Droid Story

The situation with movies is a black box. The number of names of directors thrown around is up to around six.

I think we'll for sure get three of those first 4 on D+ this year. I'm still not convinced of the Andor series seeing D+ in the next 18 months. Of the rest, only Ahsoka seems likely to me.

It certainly feels like everyone and their brother is rumored to direct a SW movie right now. :)
