Holding your hands up in the air on Space Mountain

Every time I'm on Space I think about this. It's like some weird Final Destination thought running through my head. Went on it Monday and I never put my hands up. It even can freak me out to a minor degree riding in the front car. What if some beam brakes off and decapitates me. :hilarious: At least it adds to the excitement.

Well that is exactly how those deaths happen in those movies. Not that someone's hand would garner that much force to actually break it off. I think it would be the other way around, the beam would break someone's bone in their arm.

If I were a Kevin McHale type , I'd heed mission control's warning and keep my chimpansee length arms inside the spacecraft at all times.
If you can reach across a room and shake another's hand, then best leave your appendages inside the ride vehicle.

For the rest of you arm raisers chances are you will be fine
