HM without a pre-show

Anyone know if this is allowed? I have a 3 year old who I think would like the HM except for the stretching room. If she had to be in the stretching room she'd assume everything was of that level of terror. But we've seen videos in the actual ride that she seems genuinely curious about. So I was wondering if they let people get past the stretching room. We could even wait until the people in the preshow we would have been with finish it and get ahead of us, not trying to be line jumpers or anything like that, Heaven forbid :D

I would be surprised if they said you couldn't. Try talking to a CM at the front of the ride and even better than that would be a manager (they walk around the ride in business clothes and earpieces with name tags on. They should be able to do it. If they can't, try taking her in with an Ipod on (for the noise) and just tell her to close her eyes until you tell her to open them again. Hopefully that will work. You can also tell her that until she gets on the ride she has the option to opt out at any time and take the chicken exit. That tends to help kids. You may also want to show her this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phChTaadR-s It's one of my favorites and think it explains it really well in non-scary terms. Hope that helps!

She might surprise you. I took my daughter at age 3 on the HM and she had no problems with the stretching room. She had that look of "something's not right here..." but she wasn't terrified of anything in it or afterwards. I'd give her a chance to try it.

Please don't use anything that may distract other guests. Just as a cm outside to avoid the stretch room and you should be taken in via the chicken exit, taking you directly to load.

As Martin stated, speaking to a CM outside will get you and your family inside without having to go through the stretching room.

We did this last year - we were debating taking our daughter on and the CM at the end of the line directed us towards the exit and told us to tell the CM stationed there that we wanted to skip the stretch room. The CM at the exit told us to "stay right there" (and he meant it - I walked 2 feet to the left and he came back and said "I told you to stay right there" - my daughter thought it was hilarious that I was getting scolded) and when there was a small group of us we were led in through the back and boarded our doom buggies just after people got out.
