Hilarious Magicband Incident

Maybe the MagicBand had decided the woman's meal choices were inappropriate, and as a service to her, tried to dissuade her from purchasing them (MagicBand Undocumented Feature #478).

I can see it now: go to Starring Rolls to get my 3rd round of killer cupcakes for the day, get to the tap-to-pay, touch my bracelet, and a stern voice comes from above: "No, Kelly." (because it knows my name, remember???)

Shaking the band to make it work......interesting. Makes as much as sense as hitting an elevator button over and over and over to make it arrive quicker.
Interestingly, or not, sometimes that works. Depending on how the elevator control system is set up, sometimes the elevators can be set to keep most elevator cars static and not immediately dispatch the nearest elevator. Instead, the car that is currently going up can pick up the passengers on its way back down, for instance. The idea being that the somewhat slower response allows time for additional passengers to queue and fewer elevator trips to be made, thereby saving money. Multiple pushes of the button read as multiple passengers and allows a static car to be dispatched to handle the demand.

Whoa, you mean there isn't even a code you can punch in, like what you have to do when the laser scanner malfunctions at the grocery store?

I liked where he said that they blew into the reader making me remember my old Nintendo Cartridges and how that was needed to get them to work sometimes.

The thing is, I am not sure where you can even blow on it, it's just a very strange sight. Also what's the point of even wearing the guest's Magicband, as if a different wearer can somehow impact it's functionality?

Contra code aside, there must be some sort of a reset code, as he was punching in the buttons but the way he was doing it it seemed like he was just doing random presses!

I'm a tech tech for Comcast and I've resolved MANY MANY calls by walking into a home and plugging something in !! :D And I love when the home owner asks ME how it became unplugged  Back to topic at hand......

You mean some sort of an electronic reader did not work? I am shocked! In all my years I have never seen a cashier swipe a credit card through a machine 20 times then try to wipe of the magnetic strip and try a few more followed by the plastic bag treatment only to end up entering the card in by hand. I can not believe that Disney would employ such horrendously inadequate technology!:banghead::devilish::mad::in pain::jawdrop::confused::(:depressed::grumpy:
