High School Musical 3 to hit the Big Screen ?

I read in a magazine today that if they made a thrid one it would definatly be the last one.

As of now, I think it's most likely going to be the last one. But if they do end up doing HSM 3 and 4, they wouldn't have to compress the senior year into one movie, ergo they can split it up into two movies and have more to work with.

And as for everyone asking what does this have to do with WDW Parks, I read something on another site that was very intersting:

Anyone think that the white and light blue costumes worn at the end of HSM 2 were supposed to be a *hint-hint-wink-wink* ;) reference/send up to the Year of a Million Dreams celebration at the Disney Theme Parks? :)

I doubt that is why they did that. But it does make sence. :veryconfu

I really don't care for the HSM movies, and I don't have any kids so luckily I am spared from watching them over and over again, but I have watched each one once and they were ok. I can see why kids like them, and I would much rather them be watching these movies then other movies that are out there.
I just wanted to comment because until I read this thread I had no idea Zach Effron (sp?) did not sing his own songs in the first movie. I guess I just assumed he got his role in Hairspray because of his voice talents from HSM. Does anyone know why he did not sing in the first movie? He has a very nice voice, and ANYONE can be made to sound better in a recording studio.

You mean about the costumes? The movie was filmed and released during the celebration. Maybe when they decided they were going to do that scene, Disney realized they could do a little self-promotion. Yeah, it might be a little stretch so say that the costumes were referencing the YoaMD, but they did have an uncanny resemblance when you think about it.

I believe that Efron's voice was too low, and it wasn't what Disney was looking for. So they had another guy sing the majority of his songs for him. But some people are saying that Efron actually did do his own singing in HSM 2.

If they do a fourth one they could call it Post Secondary Eduction Musical and I wouldn't be surprised if A High School Musical Christmas got made.
