High School Musical 2

I liked them both, but I'm not sure which I like better.

At least on the 2nd one, dude FINALLY put the liplock on Vanessa Hudgens. I was so hoping that would happen on the first one, but it never did. I was hoping for a little tongue action, but I guess it IS a movie aimed at kids, after all. :D

Oh my gosh, I felt the same way!! Except, I would be Vanessa.

Zac is so yummy, especially when he's on the piano...:lookaroun

Have you seen Zac on the new Rolling Stone? Whoa mama! :slurp: :ROFLOL:

I also love Corbin Bleu. I just wish he'd tie his hair up more...you can actually see his face then

I was very content with them getting interrupted while trying to kiss. But then they did, gah!! :brick:

I don't know why, but part of my sick sense of humor is saying such things and then chuckling at the reaction of the listeners. It works at work and it works here. :D

And yes, I was kidding about the "tongue action", although I very much did want him to finally kiss her at the end and was happy that he did.

All crudeness aside, I'm not really sure which I would classify as better because I saw the first one for the 1st time on thursday night. And I didn't even see it straight through, but more off and on. I liked what I saw, but I would need to sit down and watch it all the way through to be able to compare them better.

I did see miley cyrus at first i was like was that her so i went back and it was definatly her with really dark hair. I was shocked too.

If you watched it again last night (like my dd and I did) you would have found out that Miley was voted on by fans to have a cameo. My dd spotted her right away the first night. She's a huge Miley/Hannah fan as well.

We loved the movie. I like most of the songs. The one Sharpay does at the pool is funny because my dd can sing it just like her with the attitude. Course she's not really like that but close sometimes. :p We plan on watching it again tonight for the HSM2 Sing-a-long!

I thought it was entertaining. The dance numbers were well staged. The songs were good, but sometimes the voices were modulated so much they didn't sound human any more. Like when Zac Efron does his outdoors number near the end - he sounded like an entire boy band. Ashley Tisdale has a great future in taking all the roles Morgan Fairchild is too old for now.

Oh misunderstanding between the two lovers. How you throw a wrench into romantic comedys that most swoon over but make me loathe. WHY MUST THERE ALWAYS BE A MISUNDERSTANDING. My favorite romantic comedy in quite some time "Music and Lyrics" still held tight to the "misunderstanding" that seperates the two lovers. Can't a romantic comedy do WITHOUT the MISUNDERSTANDING??? Even Hairspray had the "misunderstanding" between the parents. WHY??? Did it add anything? No! The ONLY saving grace is that the "misunderstanding" lasted less than a minute.

I VOTE FOR NO MORE ROMANTIC MISUNDERSTANDINGS FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS!!! They aren't needed.

If Disney is dedicated and devoted to the whole "tween-friendly" block instead of the Disney Afternoon block (those were the days :) ) or Classic Shorts, I am partial glad they have gone to music instead of the bland sitcoms Disney Channel used to have on (ie. Lizzie McQuire, The Famous Jett Jackson, So Weird).

While I'll confess I enjoyed almost all of the music the first HSM had to offer, the difference in music in the 2nd is night and day. Half the songs were truly musical songs (You Are the Music in Me, Everyday, I Gotta Leave), while the others were the hip-hop junk I can't stand ( I Don't Dance, Zac Efron's corny outdoor solo song). Although the songs aren't as catchy or rememberable as the First Edition's, a few songs were better than the first movies.

Although the sequel's plot was deeper than the first edition and acceptable for a TV movie, if Disney wants to continue on their plan to bring the High School Musical 3 to theatures, they will have to step up the plot or Disney will never hear the end of it from the critics. It doesn't really matter though because the tween auidence will see the movie no matter what crap they dish out ;).

All in all, its all about the $$$, isn't it?
