Hi! I'm a newbie and excited to spend my honeymoon at WDW!

Hello everybody! I just recently got engaged to my boyfriend of over 10 years (elementary school sweethearts). We are planning on having our honeymoon at WDW, as we sadly couldn't afford to get married there. If anyone has any tips or recommendations for things to do, or places to stay, please let me know! We were thinking Animal Kingdom Lodge...with a view of the animals, but we'd love to hear all opinons! Also, is it possible to have your picture taken infront of the castle wearing wedding attire? I would love to have a real princess and prince day...(pretend we got married there). I can't wait to hear all of your stories!!

Make sure you let the restaurants know you're on your honeymoon. One place brought out a special chocolate Mickey for dessert and another brought us some free souvenir glasses. Not all places did something but we had alot of fun. Hopefully things are still the same - ours was in 1997.

Congratulations!!! Just a little warning though. Not sure on when you are planning your trip but I've read that AKL is under construction and has been a little noisey during the day,you may want to check this out before booking. Port Orleans and the Wilderness Lodge are quite and should be great for honeymooners.

I married my high school sweetheart in 1988 and honeymooned in disney.20 years later still going to disney now with the kids.
